It was minus 41 (with wind chill, minus 24 without) last night on the north shore of Lake Ontario. I have never experience weather like that here in all my life. Just imagine how bad it would be without the global warming to keep it balmy. Usually minus 10 would be considered cold around here.

I love what he has done here with the lightning but if you read how he did it the visual affect is a bit mis-leading. His camera records any and all lightning into its memory and then can impose it onto the background.
Lightning appears in his settings where lightning does not appear in nature.
For example, in nature when you see a veil of rain against the sun after a storm has passed the lightning is long gone.
In some of these shots what you are actually seeing is the lightning stored in the camera’s memory.
