Since when does ‘due-process’ matter in politics?
Franken has not said exactly when he will leave the Senate, announced last week after another allegation and calls from several female Democratic senators for him to resign.
Some Democrats questioned why he was forced out without a full investigation.
Zephyr Teachout, a Democrat who ran for governor of New York, said in an op-ed in the New York Times that she was left with a sense of that “something went wrong” when Franken announced he was stepping down.
“Zero tolerance (of sexual misconduct) should go hand in hand with two other things: due process and proportionality,” Teachout wrote. “Both were missing in the hasty call for Senator Franken’s resignation.”
Franken’s gamble on Alabama failed.

And I feeeeeeeel soooooo good (in a non-sexual way) that a woman (although that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s cis-gendered female) has taken the place of a male (toxic testosterone) Senator. I believe it is time for ALL of our government “look” like Sweden’s Government … ALL FEMALE. Women are soooooo “caring” and “sensitive”. Women will allow every poor person in the entire world to emigrate to our (formerly) wealthy nation. Why should only “white men” be ultra wealthy … well except for all those effeminate tech males and George Soros … because Jeff Bezos is just as sensitive as a Qq woman. Women will teach all those angry white Christians that Islam is a religion of peace and female empowerment. Empowered, because men never get to see their goodies under the black tents. Burkha wearers are never sexually harassed. Islam is so much more evolved than our simultaneously repressed and over sexed society. Only women (or men who self-identify as women) should run our country.

Now that the Alabama Senate election is over, the Dems, including Franken, can return to their double standards.

In a related story … Sen. Franken has not established a date for his ACTUAL resignation … when we will probably hear another “speech” from Al about how proud he is that MY President never ACTUALLY grabbed any part of a sleeping woman’s anatomy … but he DID! Al will tell us how much better he is at ACTUAL sexual assault … and how much an amateur Trump is at it. Time for creepy Al to shuffle off the stage.
Teachout is a bit of a loon and her signs were all over the place in the last election where I live, and I can’t stand Franken. But in a vacuum her comments are fair and appropriate. We aren’t in a vacuum, so that’s moot. But it’s interesting that someone on the other side actually said it, finally.
