The elephant in the room is equalization. As I understand it the liability acquired in SK and Alberta is coming to an end very soon. When there isn’t 10 billion for Quebec plus whatever Ontario gets payable under the three year formula do you think the federal government is just going to cut them off ?
Liberal math. Promise a $10-bln deficit. Win election, budget for a $25.5-bln deficit. Have actuals come in at $17-bln. Claim to have an extra $8.5-bln to spend. Unfortunately your average Liberal voter thinks this adds up. Even a newspaper with the word Financial in its name says it’s a windfall.

As I’ve said before, politicians know that if something happens, they can simply run out the clock because they know that the memories of most voters lasts about 6 weeks. All that’s required is a new scandal or incident to distract people’s attention.

Our system is broken. When 39.42 % of the vote gets you control of the country, and I mean CONTROL, we have serious problem. As others have said those who vote to keep themselves at the trough are also part of the problem. A country with more takers than makers is doomed.

The company is abandoning it’s brick and mortar roots at a rapid rate. If I were a shareholder I’d cut my losses. I don’t think they’ll be around much longer.
