  1. During my senior undergraduate year, I was a member of one of my alma mater’s choirs. After the term was finished, we went on tour and we sang this piece as part of our encore.

  2. I don’t have anything political at the moment, however this story had a political side to it. Enrique Chia was raised in Cienfueguera, Cuba. As a young lad, he learned music from his mother. However she encouraged her son to seek a profession, as given the political climate in Cuba in the earlu 60’s, she knew he would never earn a good living at playing music. Enrique moved to the USA, and studied metallurgy at Georgia Tech where he obtained a masters and a PHD in that profession. He worked for a major US cable and wire maker. He married and became an American citizen. . His passion for music remained, and today, he continues to perform at various events. Enjoy!!

    United Conservatives mark Right to Know Week, call for investigation into deleted government records
    The documents, obtained through Freedom of Information, reveal flagrant disregard for records creation and retention policy from both department and political staff within the Government of Alberta. The documents also call into question how often private email accounts or servers are being used for official government correspondence. The most egregious examples include:
    Senior officials, including Deputy Ministers, Chiefs of Staff and political staff having sent ten or fewer emails through their official accounts;
    Two of the Premier’s closest officials, Anne McGrath and Brian Topp, disclosing only one sent email after 10 months on the job;
    Eight individuals appearing to have deleted all emails following the initial FOIP request, and;
    Approximately 800,000 emails “missing” when comparing numbers of emails between the initial and subsequent FOIP requests.

  4. Yay, Faith! She’s way too talented, smart and charismatic to be down for long. She’s a natural born leader, as well: we’ll be hearing from her – sooner rather than later, I suspect.

  5. Follow up to http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/2017/09/im-not-feeling-.html about the woman kicked off the southwest flight over dog allergies.

    The woman who was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight after demanding dogs be removed from the plane has been identified as Muslim professor Anila Daulatzai, who teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
    Daulatzai was kicked off a flight to Los Angeles on Tuesday after demanding two dogs be removed from the plane because she has “life-threatening allergies.”

    If I recall correctly from math class, 2+2=4, but who knows for sure these days.

    This chilly wave will also reach far to the south, knocking temperatures 5-10 degrees below normal in Redding, Fresno, Sacramento and Los Angeles, California, as well as Las Vegas.”

  8. The passing of the following Law in August 2017 with veto-proof margins in both the Congress & Senate:
    H.R.3364 – Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act

    obligated the Trump administration to compose a list of individuals/organizations of Russia’s defense and intelligence sectors for further sanctions to be provided to the legislative branch by October 1st 2017. The clock is ticking and there are indications nothing was done about it.

    Get the impression the Trump administration once again has no desire to increase sanctions on Russia if not they desire to relax sanctions thus feeding into the message that Trump has been compromised by the Russians and is acting in either their or his own personal interest.

    “What Happened to the Armchair Environmentalists and Climate Alarmists When the Hurricanes Hit?”
    “Guest Opinion: Dr. Tim Ball
    There are two ways to get ahead. Pull yourself up or push other people down. There are few better exponents of the pushdown option than the environmental groups and their supporters.
    They are, for the most part, urban guerrillas, useless people who do little or nothing except undermine the lives of others. They are the green bullies who tell others how to live, yet, hypocritically, live in similar lifestyles.
    Of course, in the case of Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio, they live energy gobbling lifestyles beyond the imagination of those they condemn. This includes going to the point where they destroy people’s lives, economies, and communities. Trump talks about the loss of businesses across the US but needs to note that much is due to the work of environmentalists and politicians at all levels.
    Where was Greenpeace during the recent hurricanes?”
