Forgive me … but the first images I saw of this woman flailing and kicking as she was being escorted off the Southwest plane … elicited two instinctive responses:
1. She’s a Muslim
2. Her RELIGIOUS beliefs (not allergies) are WHY she won’t fly with dogs

That’s not as easy as you might think.
After my father died, I considered that for bringing his dog closer to where I live. The little guy had gone through a lot by then and to toss him into the hold of a plane would have been cruel. Besides, at least one airline I contacted told me it wouldn’t allow that if the temperature wasn’t warm enough.
Fortunately, someone near where my father lived offered to adopt the dog so the problem was solved for me.

I am very allergic to many items. If I was going to fly I would request such info from the airline and would be very upset if I was told there are no pets on the flight and there were. I don’t know if she asked or not but when one has allergies that will ruin one’s flight I would suggest asking the right questions.
Did this woman say she was a professor as the Officers were trying to subdue her? That’s the scary part if true.

Put her on the no-fly list. That’s radical Islam talking, not allergy. I had a Muslim neighbor who did a fancy dance to stop my 10 pound dog from sniffing him. He said he was allergic too. He was full of shit too. Dog owners like to have their dogs in the cabin when size permits because trusting your pet to the care of recent immigrant baggage handlers is a coin flip. And don’t think the airlines don’t charge a shitload of cash for a carry on pet.

Maybe she’ll be barred from planes until she presents proof she has taken remedial counseling for her extreme behaviour. Allergies don’t cause people to act out in public, she also should have to prove she really is allergic to dogs, her excuse for making a scene.

Apart from the genuineness or otherwise of her allergy, the airline had a choice between inconveniencing two dogs and their owners which could be one human but is more likely to be two and could easily be more and inconveniencing one human. Seems to me they did the best they could.
BTW if the airplane routinely carries dogs there was likely enough dog hair around to set off a genuine allergy. She needs to pick an airline tWALK hat never carries dogs.
It makes a difference if the dogs are legitimate service dogs (guide, mobility, or epilepsy) or if the people taking them on the flight are the particularly obnoxious sort of douche that runs the “emotional support animal” scam. Those idiots ought to be put in some system of camps.
