Bribery

Unprecedented case could affect Liberals’ political future

The potential political consequences of a sitting premier testifying in open court on allegations her most trusted adviser and a prominent Liberal fundraiser bribed a would-be Liberal candidate cannot be overstated.
Leaving aside this trial, the Liberals have foolishly, recklessly and repeatedly treated Ontario as their own fiefdom to rule as they see fit — and the rules be damned.

  1. ‘fiefdom’.
well, the good news I now know what it’s like to live in the friggin middle ages. political elites savaging the economic and technical infrastructure for their own ends. new ways of turning the ‘edjukashun cystem’ into a mass brainwashing and indoctrination.
    etc etc.
the label applies to a host of administrations AND across party lines for many years.

  2. History seems to show us that the more blatant the corruption of this party, the bigger their win on election day.

  3. Liberals are NOT going anywhere in Ontario with Patrick Brownose as the alt-lite alternative…

  4. I blame Ontarians. They should have gone with Hudak last time, but allowed themselves to be lead by the nose by the unions. Foolish Ontarians. Hudak would have been good. I have given up at this point and do not plan to vote for the PC’s because of Patrick Brown.

  5. It’s worked so far. I see no evidence that anyone in Ontario even regrets that they picked Bob Rae/McGuinty/Wynne. I don’t think anything will change.

  6. Just another campaign slogan for the hopelessly corrupt Liberals… “we’ll bribe anyone to stay in power”… Every public sector drone will still vote for the Libranos… greed, theft, graft, immorality, institutional corruption… Vote Liberal, or else… The Liberals could give lessons to the third world in how best to corrupt a political system and stay in power for ever, or at least until the economy finally collapses. Here comes another Librano landslide victory… enjoy the decline.

  7. “Foolishly”?!? Please. The Liberals own(ed) the cops, the doctors, the nurses and the teachers. Neither Al Capone or Karl Marx ever had it so good. Plus they’ve held continuous power almost 20 years.
This must be a usage of the word “foolish” that I’m unaware of.

  8. It’s all very well and good to point out that Liberals are corrupt and that Trudeau is a moron with a possibly sham marriage but ultimately such griping means nothing if there are still Liberal voters who will ignore these ethical and legal malfeasances. If Trudeau grants blanket amnesty to all those who leak through our porous border and gives the Chinese and Islamists carte blanche to do what they will, then none of this will matter. The numbers matter. It’s time to go after Liberal voters. They are the reason why we can’t have nice things. Let the lotto-winning migrants know they won’t receive welfare if they vote Liberal. Let the gated white liberal know what an @$$hole he is for ignoring what Ontario Liberals have done to children with autism. Impress upon people who like buying stuff that Liberals will make sure that they can’t. Liberals are a subset of hereditary crooks not unlike the Kim dynasty. Before they know it, Liberal voters will boil grass to eat.

  9. Exactly. Wynne could rob the people blind and get away with.
Tim Hudack, exactly. Hudack is just about as disgusting as Wynne is. Principles of an alley cat.

  10. Ontario voters have no choice, IF they’re smart they will vote for the one most likely to beat the Wynne Liberals. As a Conservative I will vote for Brown to wipe out the stench. Not voting or voting for the NDP or some fringe party will ensure more of the same.
    Smarten up Ontario!

  11. Conservatives have shown they are capable of defeating themselves and Liberals know that. We recall John Tory and Hudak, ahead in the polls down to the wire then applied the bimbo factor, the Liberals grabbed it on both counts and won.
People need to stop voting on one issue, what’s in it for me, look at the larger picture affecting all of us.

  12. well LindaL, if, IF ontariowe had perhaps been given a proper alternative to the clucking chipmunk getting his marching orders from hard right wing AMERICAN think tanks, it may have gone better for us.
who’s to say. still not much choice in front of us. I vote for the candidate likely to do the least damage. they’re pretty much all fcukups now.

  13. “Before they know it, Liberal voters will boil grass to eat.”
Boiling will be too expensive. They’ll have to make a paste, roll it into balls, and eat it like hors d’oeuvres.
