1. Why wasn’t she charged with murder? Its probably due to a clever legal maneuver by the Crown. If he should beat that charge with some sort of technicality they could sharpen their strategy and charge her later. Even if they get a conviction on him for murder there is no reason they can’t charge her with murder after his trial. No statutes of limitation on murder in Canada. I’m hoping they get her on it eventually.

3. As the father of four, that’s not the question in my mind. Why are they still breathing is more like it.

4. The Crown,in these type of cases,often opts for the easy way out,giving the more vulnerable of the duo,the sweet little woman, a softie sentence so she will testify against the other villain, just as they did with our Canadian icons,Paul and Karly-curls Bernardo.
   In a just world, both would end up executed. We don’t live in a just world.

   For now, the answer to that is: Because they haven’t been convicted.
   After they are convicted the answer will be: Because we don’t have the death penalty, though at least sometimes we should.
