The radicals love what Trudeau has done for Omar Khadr in our name, most normal Canadians, even Liberal voters, are outraged.
So let’s do something good with that anger. I launched this campaign late Friday, already we are at $36,000 and growing. The goal, to raise $1 million for the Speer Kids, Khadr’s victims.
I know everyone is in a different position but donating $10, $20, or thousands if you can swing it, would help.
And if you can’t donate, or have already, please share the campaign on Facebook or Twitter.
More here.
While I fully endorse this movement I think that there is something more important that can be accomplished by the Readers here at SDA. After reading this article;
http://www.torontosun.com/2017/07/08/95-year-old-canadian-vet-outraged-at-khadrs-payout
and this one;

and then seeing the comments in the Grope and Flail it is mindboggling to think that the Canadian electorate is willing to allow this government to resume sitting in September. It is incumbent on all Canadians who believe that the efforts of Victor Scott and his cohorts of the Great Generation are not lost to this country. Despite the comments following the Dallaire and Neve article there are no Liberals sitting in Parliament today that are not uncomfortable with the actions taken by Trudeau and his Cabinet in this affair. It is therefore incumbent on Canadians that believe that this country is worth fighting for rather than against that we mount a concerted attack on sitting first time Liberal MPs and ensure that if they do not cross the floor and declare themselves Independents before the House resumes to ensure a defeat of this travesty of a government then they will never gain another term in office. This would require us to post, e-mail and call all first time Liberal MPs and get the message across that the majority of Canadians are not as led as sheep as they believe us to be. We can no longer afford to wait until 2019 to rid ourselves of these quislings and sycophants that are ruining our country.
It’s hard to sit and do nothing but I have no faith this will amount to anything further, the deal is done.
Liberals elected, either new MP’s or old will not stand up against this disgrace, they will come back in September, hear a few whimpers from the opposition and get on with governing as a majority. I’d be over the moon to be proven wrong. I live in a Conservative riding with a long term MP and MPP, folks in these parts are livid.
Better still, devote it to a legal fund for their mom to sue it all away from Khadr. The suit’s been launched already – I bet she’d be glad for the help!
I think the biggest supporter of this cause should be Omar. Please show us how Canadian you are.Cheers.
I donated a measly 10 bucks….I can’t let this just go but sadly ANTENOR the majority of Canadians are sheep happy to be kept nice n plump n fat for the taking as long as he are safe and comfortable.
Tough times create tough men …..these are not tough times it has not been tough since the 50’s. Lots of fat will be trimmed once the housing bubble bursts.
PM Harper flamed Dustin’s tail nicely when the boy blunder tried to blame the previous administration. Don’t pass the buck, it’s on you. Great!
Hmm, long weekend, secretive deal with condition it not be announced, rather than take Khadr on in court probably during the 2019 federal election.
Hmm, deal made in Canada. Shouldn’t Khadr be suing the US for his mistreatment. Oh, but even if he got dough, the Speer family would grab it.
Hmm, innocent boy soldier; seemed well able to form intent.
That didn’t work, well he’s a Canadian citizens, with rights. What about his responsibility not to provide aid and comfort to her enemies?
Hmm, he maintains he was tortured, without evidence, but glosses over his confession, apparently tainted by unsubstantiated allegations.
Hmm, a member of “al Qaeda royalty,” with connections to the Liberal Party and Chretien, who himself bailed the patriarch terrorist out of a foreign jail.
Oh but Arar was “tortured,” (btw why does Canada pay those tortured elsewhere by others?). Was Arar a member of AQ? Did he lob grenades?
Why is Khadr the poster boy for bleeding heart SJWs? Because he fights the outgroup that fuels the corrective requirement of collectivism – capitalism.
Justin has allied himself with the most radical elements in the Canadian muslim communities, many of them on watch terror lists, launching libel suits, now collecting money from hapless co-opted fools. We will see what happens in 2019. I sincerely hope this sticks, this apology is rubbing many the wrong way.
They did this now so this wouldn’t be an election issue. They did the Canadian settlement so Khadr couldn’t have US SJW largesse siphoned off.
They did this because they have deep roots with the Khadr family and radical, jihadist elements in this country, purchasing their support with our money.
Excellent idea. Because you can count on the Muslim-apologist LEFT will bring everything they have to DEFEND the indefensible. The full legal power of the ACLU, the Trudeau Party legal team, etc. Sanity must prevail. This cretin must be disgorged of ALL his ill-gotten $$$$ gains.
Which reporter is going to ask Khadr about the size of his donation?
Liz J, if you think folks in your part of the country are livid you should see what some of my friends in the British Forces are saying about this. Does anyone in Canada still think that we are a shining example of UN peacekeepers after this fiasco. If you were a serving member of our Armed Forces what would you think the other members of the UN team are thinking. I thought Obama was trying to subvert the US by his attitude to the law enforcement officers in America, but Trudeau’s action in rewarding a terrorist and his clan and sticking it to our allies, not to mention the Salmon Arm salute to our Armed Forces past and present, shows how deep the Liberal hatred for America and Canada is. If we don’t remove the Liberals from office before they do any more damage we will truly rue the day this government came to power.
There are probably at least a dozen Canadians who are essentially victims of lawfare (the opposite side of the Khadr coin) who should have been assisted by this same community of concern.
The fact that those people were not assisted (people walked away because it was too much work) has locked us into a situation of very bad legal precedents and this climate of judicial and legislative activism wrapped in the flag and sold to dupes as “the rule of law.”
All law is subject to considerable interpretation. This Khadr case was no slam dunk either way, it’s hard to predict how it would have gone but of course this government is hardly the one to be fighting Omar Khadr and his powerful backers in court.
The Conservative Party seemed more interested in grabbing control over the internet through C-51 than protecting our rights and freedoms. I am not one to rely on the Charter, it’s essentially a proto-Marxist document that thinly veils the rights of the states and collectives over the liberties of the individual.
We are in a mess in Canada. This campaign will make people feel a bit better but the mess will remain and our largest provinces are probably worse than the federal legal and political climate, and the largest cities even further into the pit. There is no escape from the slowly tightening Marxist noose and that’s not fake noose either.
“We can no longer afford to wait until 2019 to rid ourselves of these quislings and sycophants that are ruining our country.”
George Soros would not approve.
But perhaps Shakespeare would….
“Or to take arms, against a sea of troubles.
and by opposing end them.”
Exactly !
If Omar really is a changed person, I think he could easily pop out $50 k.
Minimum.
Done. Donation made and a plea to everyone on my e-list asking them to consider doing likewise.
I donated.
Come on folks, its a constructive cause!
And hopefully, the widow will launch a lawsuit that will change legal precedent. Maybe we’ll get some crazy law, that says terrorists dont get money.
Donation in, and bringing it to the attention of friends.
how about we work to get everyone who supports this crap the hell out of Canada.
Where is the fund to mete out vigilante justice on the entire Khadr family. Now that would be really constructive.
Is there any other prisoner, held at Gitmo or otherwise, that received a reward for participating in terrorism? Justin Trudeau and the Supreme Court of Canada are guilty of this travesty of justice.
