How many of you recall the Great Canadian Flag Debate?? I do remember when some of us in high school (1964?) were submitting our own designs. Many were outrageous. The one I recall the best, although I only saw it years after it had been submitted, was a woman standing stark naked, wearing a combat helmet, army boots, and holding a beaver on a leash. Of course, on that particular flag, there were two beavers on the drawing.
Most of the proposed drawings are now stored in the National Archives in Ottawa. I would, however, love to see the aforementioned beaver flag. That was outrageous and a violation of rights in my view. He is suing, I believe, but may not be successful. Canadians need to know what their country has become,but I don’t believe MSM us covering this example of totalitarianism.
