The increasingly, always wrong polls, are basically built on wrong suppositions.
The Polling Firms, revealing the hubris of a College/University education, have normally considered the Educated Voter as; only People who have University/College level education Credentials. This failure of reasoning is partial self-congratulations and ignorance of the Real World.
It is as if a Person, who has not attended the same school process as the sitting behind desks talking to similar thinkers, does not have a complete education. The pollsters are ignorant of the level of Training a repair person; paralegal; medical equipment technician; construction equipment operator; etc; must have either through a diploma program or apprenticeship program.
I assure you the individual coming to your House or apartment building repairing or replacing the Heating System is well aware of the resultant of missing or excluding proper installation procedures.. A much greater awareness than the low energy Foggy Brained desk culture inhabitant.
The other obvious ignorant bias is assumption a factory worker is not motivated enough to vote if the weather is difficult for travel.
IF and I emphasize the, If there is any truth, to this standard meme which flows out of the mouths of the Politicos, on the steadily declining Main Stream Media; the meme is given a higher value in projecting the inputs.
The Real reason for a possible decline in the participation of any group or class of voter is;– It won’t make a pile of manure higher,— if I vote. The Washington-Ottawa/Toronto/Montreal sewer sludge, whether Democrat/Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/RINO/Conservative -Will Misuse- My tax-dollars to allow the Nepotism deals. The standard Quiet Arrangements between Elected-Appointed-Bureaucrat Cultures t hire their Kin or to Provide for someother Personal Benefit is endemic in North America as much as in Europe/Asia/South America/India.
The Cultures the Sovereign American Citizen left tos establish the Social Contract Postions of the; “Great Experiment”. Unfortunately the same Sovereignty of the Canadian Citizen has been abandoned by the Faux 1981/1982 Canada Constitution setting aside Magna Charta and the evolution of Individual Rights & Personal Freedom.

Silent or no, it’s clear that the majority of Americans do not like Trump. More voted for Hillary, and Trump’s approval ratings are in the gutter. When the Dems get it together-and they will-I fully expect a slaughter. I’m rather scared that ‘getting it together’ will mean a veer to the left that will make me long for the days of Obama. Khamala Harris is looking increasingly destined to be president in 2021.
The GOP’s catastrophe of a healthcare bill only makes it clear that they are going to pummeled, and this time they may not recover. They may just alienate too many growing demographics and end up like the perm-minority state GOP that CA and some other states have. Rand Paul and some others should just split and form The Federalist Party or something.

I have another, simpler (I think) explanation. For 8-long years, the “average” American … and let me remind the “college educated” coastal elites that 85% of Americans do not hold a college degree. So the “average” American that you sneer-at and deride vastly OUTNUMBER you! For 8-long years, the increasingly unhinged, leftist, Democraps have systematically kicked the “average” working class American right in the balls … or grabbed their pussy rudely. How ? By making it harder and harder and harder to make a living and keep ones head above water. You see, the deplorables you deride have REAL lives … just like you elites. In fact, I would argue their lives are even MORE REAL than the coastal DINKS whose household incomes are obscene by mid-American standards. So long as the Democrap “talking points” were ethereal nonsense such as “level playing fields”, and “FREE renewable energy” … or the outright fabulous-sounding “$ 2,500.00/year savings on your healthcare premiums”. When the Democraps were preaching things that tickled the ears of the populace … the Democraps (primarily Obama) collected votes. But when their actual policies HURT their jobs, forced them to “accept” deviant behavior, eliminated our borders, increased taxes, increased fees, increased all energy costs (not just gasoline) … and scolded Christians and Americans to “get off our high horse” … the “average” (working) American said NO. The “average” (working) Americans were treated like ignorant serfs by Obama and his version of the Democrap Party. The Democrap’s policies of trickle-down misery are what elected President Trump. With the “historic” election of Obama … the Democrap talking points became REAL … and they were all REALLY BAD for the “average” (working) American. THAT is what elected Trump (and all the subsequent Republicans) … Democrap misery and Democrap HATE. The Democraps made it abundantly clear what they thought of the “average” American. That they literally HATED the “average” (deplorable) American … but LOVED “undocumented” Central American immigrants … and REALLY LOVED Islamic refugees.
Still holding onto that bit of meaningless number, are you? More people voted for Trump than Clinton outside of California. And there are several major reasons why the California vote went the way it did.
1. Countless aliens voted, and almost exclusively for Clinton. This is true especially since the California DMV allowed aliens to get driver’s licenses. There is no check, you simply declare yourself a citizen or not. And that driver’s license can be used to register. Essentially, anyone who wishes to vote in California could.
1a. Given the above, the ongoing shift in demographics in California matters a lot. Manufacturing have steadily been moving out, bringing along a lot of employees willing to relocate rather than having to find a new job, in the tightened job market under Obama. These employees are replaced by illegal aliens, who maintain the status quo of California population.
2. This is on top of the standard Democratic vote fraud in big cities such as Los Angeles, which is no different than say in Chicago or Detroit.
3. California has been completely gerrymandered into very safe Democratic districts and less than a third very safe Republican districts, to give California RINOs a sop. By its open primary system, California also had two Democrats running for the Senate in the general election. There was little motivation for most Republicans to vote. It would be a different story had the popular vote really mattered. Since it doesn’t, Donald Trump’s campaign did not waste a single cent in California.
4. Once the outcome was known, they stopped counting. Millions of absentee ballots were not counted. Most of these are from the military stationed elsewhere. Most of the military vote Republican. That’s a lot of predominantly Republican voters who essentially lost their voting rights.
I am not conceding that the popular vote is legit outside of California. The Democrats asked to stop the recount in Michigan, for example, after it uncovered a lot of fraud in Wayne County (Detroit.) Democratic machines control most of the big cities, no one looks closely because they expect big differences in numbers. Republicans should. In a close election by state, a couple of hundred thousand fraudulent votes can turn the vote of an entire state. They almost did in Michigan (Detroit) Ohio (Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus), Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh) and Wisconsin (Madison). I am convinced Trump would have won those states comfortably absent the fraudulent votes.
As to the polls, yeah, they are as meaningful as the polls that predicted with supposedly over 85% certainty that Clinton will win the presidency, in the morning of election day, no less.

There is as much evidence that Clinton was boosted by ‘countless’ aliens and other forms of voter fraud as there is that Russians hacked the election: none. There’s never been convincing evidence of large-scale voter fraud in the USA.

Also, the polls were not wrong. They had it close. It was the pundits who were wrong except for Nate Silver (PBUH). He read the data as it was and that’s why he warned that Trump had a serious chance of winning.
The rules don’t care about popular vote. Had that mattered, Trump would have beat Hillary there as well.

Well, I won’t laugh or say “impossible” because I’ve learned that strange things can and do happen. And I do rather enjoy your contrary point of view on things. But really, Khamala has so many rough edges …. and the charisma of a wolverine in heat …. that it is hard to imagine her being acceptable as a candidate outside of her leftist base in California.
Though not unattractive physically, she is an ugly person inside, an upgraded Kathy Griffin as it were. She is strongly polarizing. A presidential campaign will bring this out front and center. The Democrats struggle to find candidates with general appeal. I do not see where they are going to find one.
She’s FemObama and that’s probably all the Dems will need after the Trumpening turns the GOP radioactive. The coalition that brought Trump to power is a fleeting alignment of dying sectors of America. The Dems really do have a choke hold on the future, short-term ineptitude aside. It is difficult to see how the Republicans don’t get wiped out over the next few decades.

Not to be confrontational, and I think what you’re saying about cops, firemen and medical pros used to be true. But these days, People Could Die is not a sufficient reason to put down the donut for an awful lot of these people.
