I had almost decided not to vote for Brown because of his flip-flopping on important issues and support for the CO2 tax garbage. I think he has lost touch with the party base. His treatment of McLaren is outrageous — most of it enthusiastically promoted by Liberals. At this point I am speculating that McLaren and Brown do not get along and the censuring of McLaren has less to do with anything he did (an off colour joke at some men’s event– ok., remarks in an old video that clearly did not hurt the party previously) than with their personal relationship. As indicated, I was planning not to vote in the upcoming Provincial election — McLaren was the only thing causing me to hesitate as I would like to support him. The only good that will come of this is that Brown’s tenure will be short lived when he loses to Wynne. Then again, with another Liberal term Ontario will be beyond rescuing. I don’t care anymore. Ontarians will reap what they have sown — a floundering Province with a floundering economy.

The danger of failed states is the power vacuum allows jihadi groups to set up bases of operation, train and plan.
They know the Copts are part of the coalition government who overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood government before the country collapsed. Attacking the Copts is part revenge for allying with the Egyptian military to form a government.
Also, jihadi terrorism is a general tactic to show the government cannot protect the group attacked. In so doing it reduces confidence in and support for the government and it’s institutions.
If weakened enough, it can be overthrown, become a failed or semi-failed state. That’s their working strategy for the 21st Century. That and mass migration to the West.
It will take at least as many years to repair the damage to Middle-East and world stability done by Pres. Obama policies, and at a high cost in blood and treasure.
It will be touch and go. It needs economic recovery to be able to afford to feed it’s population and ensure stability.
Islamic jihad has devastated a once legendary vibrant tourist economy.
