  3. Hydroelectricity, wood, and passive solar [ie. windows] are renewable energy sources which have heated buildings historically and will continue to do so into the future. Other than in urban environments where wood heat is impractical, why would a rational person have a problem with using these renewable energy sources?

Noted journalist, columnist and author Tarek Fatah said on Tuesday (April 25) that Facebook had suspended his account. Fatah, who is often in the eye of controversies because of his outspoken and divisive statements on Islam, has been criticised and harassed several times.
Forced religiousness is here to stay and Sonu Nigam’s latest tweet explains it why
Fatah, who is of Canadian nationality, took to Twitter on Tuesday to say: “As if being on the ISIS death list weren’t enough, Facebook suspends me. This calls for a book titled: White Guilt and Brown Bastards.”

Tor. Star columnist, famous for rejecting Sharia law, jihad and Islamic supremacism, a peaceful Ismaili is banned by Facebook?
Maybe, it’s because of his book titled “The Jew is not my enemy”.
Facebook assists the gov’t. of Pakistan in finding blasphemers against Islam, which is a crime people are killed for there. It time for an about face book.

  5. This is a tiresome cliche. Trudeau is plenty dumb, but leave his mother out of it. She is not the politician and does not deserve to be insulted. Her mistakes were common human foibles. She is not particularly dumb.

Remember the much ballyhooed paper that made the cover of Nature, Steig et al, “Warming of the Antarctic ice-sheet surface since the 1957 International Geophysical Year”, Nature, Jan 22, 2009 that included some conspicuously errant Mannian math from the master of making trends out of noisy data himself? Well, that just went south, literally.”

  8. Yes she is DUMB! She is 4 years older than I am – I went to university in the politically incorrect 70’s as well. She came from a prominent Liberal family in BC. She went to university to get her “MRS” degree and married Trudeau. She was like “Caesar’s Wife” – she needed to be above reproach while her husband was in office. Instead, she did drugs, screwed around with rock stars and Trudeau had custody of their children because she was deemed to be “unfit” as a caregiver. She is still a HUGE embarrassment to Canada.

The Trudeau government is planning to quietly introduce new measures to rubber-stamp the approval of many asylum seekers — including people from dangerous and war-torn countries who may pose a threat to Canada’s national security.
Another immigration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to his current connection with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, said he is “a bit uncomfortable with this,” noting that “some bad dudes come from these countries.”

  10. I was waiting for this to happen. It just took longer than expected. I think I’ll reserve judgment on this one until further studies are done. I’m not into conspiracy theories but the electronic cigarette industry is rapidly expanding and butting heads with Big Tobacco, Big Pharma and Big Nanny State, all of whom have engaged in questionable activities in the past to protect their turf, is definitely an uphill battle.
Besides … vaping is much cheaper than smoking and seems to cause less distress to over-sensitive whiners.

  12. Exactly! The usual pack of lies study meant to fill someone’s pocket or agenda. Much like the anti-GMO and anti-glysophate conspiracy.

  13. Margaret Trudeau was way too young to assume a role that required her to be “above reproach.” She made some foolish mistakes, but that does not equate with “dumb”. Rather, it equates with young and naive and possibly unstable. I don’t usually respond when someone issues the cheap shot of suggesting Justin Trudeau inherited “his mother’s brains”, but it is getting tiresome. In general, I disagree with “blame the mother” rationales, and in this case it also gives Justin an excuse for his incompetence. I understand that he did not have an ideal upbringing, but I think that both he and Margaret were victims of Trudeau senior’s narcissistic, authoritarian personality. Margaret is not the politician, so let’s stop bashing her. Justin is a now a grown up. He took on the position of PM when he should have known he was in no way qualified to run the country. We need to blame him for his own missteps instead of deflecting blame with a trite comment about his mother.

  14. I generally would concur with you that bongo is his own man and that his mother should be left out of it.
That said Margaret Sinclair was no ingénue. She came from a highly charged political background. Her father was a was a federal MP and cabinet minister for 18 years in the librano governments of the day. A life in politics was already well experienced when PET came calling.
Old trudeau was undoubtedly a SOB to live with. It’s rumoured that the love of his life Michael Pittfield accompanied the newly weds on their honeymoon. If true, an inauspicious start. So, if she was unstable things might have pushed her over the edge.
I have sympathy for her mental breakdown but most of the problems she has and the havoc she wreaked were as a result of poor decisions she made.

  15. We have central heat here at the trap shack. A wood stove in the center of the building. Love those renewables.
Was on the chain saw yesterday. Years ago I found out what happens when you don’t have enough wood to get you through to spring. Vowed not to let that happen again so I now have a 2 year supply of wood on hand. Winter doesn’t scare me.

““Today we are likely seeing the most important freeze since 1991. And there are more frosts forecast for the coming night,” Patrick Vasseur, vice chairman of the FDSEA33, the local branch of France’s largest farm union FNSEA, said.
The entire Cognac vineyard has also been severely impacted, industry group BNIC said, calling the situation “very worrying,” with new frosts forecast for tonight. A more precise estimate of the extent of the damage will be made next week.
In the Bugey region near Lyon, winemakers said the damage was extensive, with some vineyards totally destroyed.”

“Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan has apologized to Canadian, American and Afghan troops that he served with in Afghanistan for claiming that he was the “architect” of Canada’s most famous and bloodiest combat operation of that war.
The minister made the claim in a speech last week in India. He told a gathering of security experts in New Delhi on April 18 that “on my first deployment to Kandahar in 2006, I was the architect of Operation Medusa where we removed 1,500 Taliban fighters off the battlefield … and I was proudly on the main assault.””
