  1. Re: The compressor quits on the freezer that held frozen water.
I often thought of this when I read about those poor idiots who are frozen in a cannister and hope to be revived in 100 years or so from now. What happens if the plant (that runs on Freon R-12 that is already illegal) quits?? Will the gov. shut the plant down? Poor granny will never get to see her parrot again!

  2. Democracy and Racism clearly & simply explained.
A Muslim refugee kid in Toronto asks his mother, “Mama, what’s the difference between Democracy and Racism?”
“Well, son, Democracy is when Canadian taxpayers work hard every day so that we can get all our benefits….. you know, like free housing, free health care, free education and grants to build Mosques and Community Centers, more welfare payments than Canadian pensioners get, and so on and so forth, you know. That’s Democracy”.
“But Mama, don’t the Canadian taxpayers get angry about that?”
“Sure they do. That’s what we call Islamophobia and Racism.”

  3. Rex Murphy on JT’s week:
Our Prime Minister was busy this week, with feminism and firepower. It was all, of course, very middle class…
It more or less ended with a star appearance at the Women in the World Global Summit in New York… To say he was a hit is pure understatement. The fashion press – Vogue, Elle, Huffington Post – was in full swoon mode, as were most of the attendees, one of the latter capturing the rapture with this observation: “He’s tailor-made for a conference like this. He checks every box you could want, except for actually being a woman.” And with “gender roles” being revised it seems every minute these days, who’s to say that by next year he (she) won’t be able, even eager, to tick off that box too.

Something of a shadow fell over the sweet accord of Women in the World with the intrusion of actual world affairs. The chemical bombing of Syria started to steal from the event. Trudeau responded to question on Syria Thursday afternoon by saying he was in some doubt as to the origins of the attack: “There are continuing questions about who is responsible for these horrible attacks against civilians, and that’s why I’m pressing on the (United Nations Security Council) to pass a strong resolution that allows the international community to determine first of all who was responsible for these attacks before we move forward.”
However, by Friday morning, following President Donald Trump’s strike against Assad, the thirst for investigation over responsibility, and the need to press the Security Council, had evaporated. He supported Trump’s move, plainly saw Assad as the villain, and offered a much invigorated response to the Syrian atrocity: “These gruesome attacks cannot be permitted to continue operating with impunity.”
…it might be fun to know what changed his stance overnight from restraint until investigation to full endorsement of missiles into Syria.

  4. Anew one from Totten:
But we need to get a couple of things straight here. Bashar al-Assad is not fighting ISIS in Syria. Not really. Nor are the Russians. Assad and the Russians are fighting every rebel army in the country except ISIS. Look at a map of the country. ISIS’s territory is centered on its “capital” in Raqqa in the northeast, but Assad and Russia’s theater of operations is in the west and along the coast. Only the United States has bombed ISIS in Syria, and only Kurdish militias have seriously resisted ISIS on the ground.

Let the cognitive dissonance kick in.

  5. I just remembered that on the National, they tried to turn this switcheroo into something nuanced, suggesting that by waiting before endorsing Trump’s move he communicated only cautious support. How hilarious. He obviously does not have a clue. When put on the spot it’s always “questions need to be answered” , or “we need to discuss” — something that buys him time.

  6. Its interesting that after Trudashian finished reading from the Vagina Monologues and talking about the first time he had his period, or whatever the hell he was doing, he stated that it was up to the UN to tell him what he thinks and that ultimately the UN would decide how the Trudopian Government should respond… thats some real leadership there eh? Someone eventually told Juthtin what to think and what to say, but who? I guess juthtin can now go back to burning his bra until the next time he has to be told what to think. Selfie.

  7. …something that buys him time.
…so JT can call his boss and ask him what he should say and do.

  8. It appears that JT’s handlers have given him a playbook of meaningless non-committal responses to memorize. When asked a question he randomly picks ones that come closest to the subject of the question and strings them together with “uhh” in between each phrase. He’s nothing but a semi-autonomous meat puppet; I doubt if he’s capable of anything resembling an original thought. His handlers keep him looking busy by sending him off on junkets where he can do the least harm. Whenever he has to go to important meetings with foreign leaders he’s probably kept on a fairly tight leash. It would be revealing to find out which members of the PMO staff always accompany him to those important meetings.

  9. Rosemary Barton argued on April 6 that Senator Beyak’s position as well as that of panelist Stockwell Day was not based on “facts”. Well, for someone so meticulous about “facts”, Barton sure goofed on one “fact”, attributing the use of the word ‘parasites’ (referring to the media) to Senator Beyak instead of to Senator Ogilvie, the one who actually used the word.

  10. “‘[Trudeau is] tailor-made for a conference like this. He checks every box you could want, except for actually being a woman.”
Hey, this is The Age of Gender Fluidity. He can just become a woman whenever it suits the occasion!

  11. listened to the Swede PM last night talking about how Sweden is an open society and they should not rush to judgement. Some woman cab min then used the term ‘shared responsibility’.
What is with these people? Swedes used to be tough, stalwart independent SOB’s.

  12. It’s just a coincidence ice core samples correlate climate to solar cycles. Only a holocaust denier would think otherwise.

  14. As if Canada’s massive foreign aid budget wasn’t already big enough, Justin Trudeau is taking more taxpayer money and giving it away outside our country.
Trudeau has announced $840 million in new foreign aid in Syria.
This is on top of $1.6 billion Trudeau has already pledged to Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.
Why should Canadian taxpayers be on the hook for nearly $1 billion more because of what happened in Syria? If we give money away every time there is a tragedy, there’s no shortage of tragedies happening every day in Canada that our government should be focused on.
It is immoral for our government to be taking taxpayer money and giving it away to other countries. Foreign aid should be a voluntary choice of individuals and organizations, not forced upon us by government.
Unfortunately, Trudeau sees things differently. His focus is not on serving Canadians, but on garnering international attention and praise. He knows he will get worldwide media coverage every time he gives away more taxpayers money to foreign causes, and he knows the elitist establishment media will just roll over instead of calling him out for giving away our hard-earned money.

Your prayers have been answered. Get your very own ‘Justin’ doll.
Justin Trudeau Can Now Be Yours—with Just 3 Easy Payments of $32.27

No more arguing about whom Justin Trudeau should be with, there’s enough of the prime minister to go around!
Someone very brilliant (and likely harboring an unquenchable thirst for J.T.), has created a “fully poseable” doll in the likeness of Canada’s sexiest politician.
The “Talking Commemorative Portrait Doll” spouts out popular Trudeau quotes (“A positive, optimistic, hopeful vision of public life isn’t a naive dream, it can be a powerful force for change.”) and charms the masses with his signature smile.

  16. Unbelievable. I did say he reminded me of a Chatty Kathy doll and now someone has come up with one. I am assuming the creators are having a bit of fun with this. When you think about it the idea is totally goulish and drives home the “cardboard cutout” persona.

  17. In question period bongo has a play book on his desk. All leaders have their parties ‘talking points’ on every issue in a book readily available for reference.
You ask bongo a question, he flips open the book to the appropriate section and…voila instant expert. Not sure if the librano book as all the ‘ahs’ in between every word or he just adds them for effect. Yeah that must be it. The ‘ahs’ are bongos contribution, they help us understand the complexities. Good for him for doing that.

  18. Swedes tough and independent? Not for some time now. They were “neutral” during WW II and did a fair bit of collaborating with the Nazis (and incidentally making big bucks selling various strategic materials to the combatants). It was Norway who resisted.
