  1. Today, the CBC’s Fifth Estate featured the story of three Canadian nationals who were tortured in Syria and Egypt during the post 911 period. They are now suing the Canadian government.
This feature was previously aired. However not once did they they mention the words, ”Liberal,” or Liberal government of Jean Chretien.” How convenient to have younger listeners believe that the atrociousness occurred under the Harper administration.

  2. The good news of the week is that even more of southern Ont&Que will become ‘sanctuary cities’ for un-documented illegal migrants. The rest of Canada thanks them, while recognizing that they voted these Liberal governments into power, so they should have to deal with the problems Liberals cause.
All these rapugees and criminal migrants pushed across the border into ‘sanctuary cities’ are Trump’s joke on Canada and it’s globalist ‘yes-boy’ PM, for being so blatantly anti-America / anti-Trump / pro-Islam. CBC spouts TrumpHate and foolishly believes there will be no repercussions. Pay-back time has just started, enjoy the ride.
The Liberal infested ‘sanctuary cities’ can keep the migrant criminals and rapeugees who come from a culture that condones misogyny, pedophilia, violent xenophobia, and bigoted oppression of women, homosexuals, and other religions. The rest of Canada doesn’t want them. Nor do we want the style of gvt you choose to elect.
The libtards can believe that everything is wonderful in Sweden, and the Muslim controlled NO-GO zones are ‘fake-news’, and ignore the interviews on u-tube with Swedes who describe the actual events, Just don’t complain to us when it happens in Mississauga, we told-ya-so, but you knew better and ignored the warnings. Karma is a bitch.

  3. Yes, simply an extrapolation of current trends and policies.
Hesitating, lack of resolve condemns generations hence to endless war of attrition.

  4. I had never heard of the movie “Moonlight”, I bet few here have, so I watched the trailer for it. It might be a really great movie, but the first thing I noticed was that it has an all Black cast. Still, it has to be better than La La Land, which looks as interesting as drying paint.

  5. Do we deplorables even care about the Oscars any more?
As a ham, the name Oscar has a different meaning for me. OSCAR (Orbital Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio) was the first amateur radio satellite, launched on December 12, 1961. Ever since then, spacecraft officially designated for that purpose have been referred to as OSCARs.

  6. I heard that Moonlight is a kind of Black Brokeback Mountain. I only heard of it earlier yesterday. Think I will give it a pass. There is some suggestion that it may have been given the award because of the Blacks complaining last year about not enough awards for Blacks. I have also heard that even people who think they don’t like musicals quickly warm to La La Land. Manchester by the Sea is a very fine film. Excellent acting.

  7. La la land is a collection of completely forgettable tunes not unlike the ALW crap.
No Julie Steyn, Rogers/Hart or Dorothy Fields for that matter.

  8. Some people say there are too many crows in Canada. I say, if we could trade more crows for fewer liberals, Canada would be a better place. Crows are smarter and less indolent or destructive than liberals.

““Many in the West today are still making excuses for the crimes of communism; even the European Union itself is reluctant to unequivocally condemn them,” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said.”
“Today in Hungary we live in freedom and safety; we have a bright future that we have chosen ourselves – unlike communism, in which we had only stifled energies and boarded-over skies,” he said.
“We can only have a future if it is both free and Hungarian; only a country of free Hungarians has a future.”
The number of people killed by communist regimes in the 20th century is estimated at 94 million.
Surviving communist regimes such as China and North Korea continue to be noted for their use of censorship, political repression, and arbitrary detention – often in Soviet-style labour camps – to quash dissent.”

When Harper was in power, there were plans to create a monument to victims of Communism. I thought it was an excellent idea as very few people are aware of the scope of tyranny under Communism — especially young people. Many families in Canada have lost loved ones due to Communism. The memorial was to be placed in the huge empty space by the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, Beverley McLaughlin’s ego started a movement against the memorial, and then many anti-Harper people got on the anti-bandwagon, even though Harper himself was not spearheading the initiative, but rather families and friends of victims. This is so unfortunate as such a memorial would have important messages about the significance of a fair system of justice as well as acknowledging a major issue that dominated politics during the 20th Century. This is how history gets forgotten.
