  1. The fact that Maxime Bernier was barely mentioned despite actual having the highest “grades” means the Liberal party is deeply afraid of his prospects.

    Which means, I have no idea what I’m talking about, but I do know a few facts that somebody told me once.

  4. We’ve had 9 prime ministers in the last 48 years. 5 of them were from Quebec serving a total of 37 years. The other 4 non Quebecers served 11 years combined.
    Fluency in french as well as being from Quebec are probably the greatest assests to winning even though it is the lowest factor in determining ones qualifications.

    2. Remember all the media excuses for Dion not being able to answer a simple “what would you have done” question? You have to understand…. it is his second language, blah blah blah. He is basically a good man…. No sign of that “understanding” here. Apparently those excuses only apply to one side of the political aisle.

  9. Meanwhile at the same time, Shiny Potato was holding a town hall and refusing to answer questions in English. Because diversity is our strength or something. Even the commenters at CBC are disgusted with his display of arrogance.

  10. Trudeau’s entire approach to government in 2 words….. all people SHOULD FEEL. He never once said what he would DO – one can only assume he would do nothing to address this woman’s very valid concern. In fact, his method of answering only reinforced her point. Not only would nothing be done, but even his answer to her face was condescending. But he did tell her how she should feel. And that, after all, is all that matters.

  11. You are so right TimR: Trudeau’s arrogance is becoming a side of him people need to know about and see….time to get rid of him as a PM. Max Bernier might be the person to just do that even though I really don’t want another Conservative PM from Quebec.

  13. Right or wrong, unless he or she is fluent in French, a candidate will not become Canadian PM. Electing an anglephone who isn’t as Conservative leader will only guarantee the re-election of Trudeau.

    Aye…but I’m not sure if it’s the greatest asset. A lisp, girly-sit, and flathing eyes are also important. Oh, and being the son of a famous tit helps too.

  17. “But we’re in a French province so I will answer in French,” That’s the way they see it in Quebec. Screwing Canada is a favourite pass time of most Quebecois. Hence, they went for the Spawn over Mulcair, knowing that the idiots of Ontario supported him ensuring that their votes counted. It’s only the ROC that actually believes we are bilingual everywhere. It’s been a major reason why the Military brass and senior federal civil service leans heavily to the Quebecois. However I still prefer Bernier not for his residency but his principles.
