  1. Low growth in global carbon emissions continues for third successive year
Global carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels did not grow in 2015 and are projected to rise only slightly in 2016, marking three years of almost no growth, according to researchers at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the Global Carbon Project.

The USA, EU, Russia,Japan and Canada have all reduced or stabilized GHG emissions. China and India have not. There is no justification for any ‘carbon tax’ in Canada other than the Lieberal’s desire for more taxes to fund their greenwashed whims.

  2. On the eve of the Trump administration evicting illegal aliens, I always like to recall some of the many songs that I grew up with, many that depicted life along the Rio Grande. Last night I posted Billy Walker’s ”Cross the Brazos at Waco.”
Tonight, I’m posting another well known classic by Marty Robbins
I also recall going to a local Five and Dime type of store and buying ”Police Magazine” (there were several different titles) that featured stories about border patrol officers who openly discussed their shootouts with illegals along the Tex-Mex border. My Dad would get royally upset for wasting my dime on ”trash literature.”

  3. Dinosaurs that roamed the Earth 250 million years ago knew a world with five times more carbon dioxide than is present on Earth today, researchers say, and new techniques for estimating the amount of carbon dioxide on prehistoric Earth may help scientists predict how Earth’s climate may change in the future.
Huge amounts of this greenhouse gas made the climate during the Jurassic Period extremely humid and warm, said geoscientist Douwe van der Meer, lead author of the study and a researcher at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

“MONTREAL — The election of Donald Trump has plunged the Canadian government into a state of high anxiety as it measures the looming possibility of getting caught up in an unwanted trade war with the United States, Canada’s biggest economic partner.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was quick to reassure the president-elect of his willingness to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). But what Canada wants from a renegotiation is much different from Trump’s vision.
For both strategic and economic reasons, Trudeau seeks to strengthen NAFTA, not weaken or destroy it.”

  5. On the prairies we had four and a half weeks of winter in October so a reprieve from that is most welcome but isn’t that the thing about the CAGW adherents.
In Canada we get 7 months of winter and 5 months of tough sledding but the CAGW people want the weather to be colder. Go figure.

Monica Lewinsky at TED. This is just incredible to watch and listen to. She is an amazing speaker and her subject of cyber bullying is right on. This will change your opinion of Ms. Lewinsky as it did mine and it makes you think that any us have things that we want to keep private. Her description of what it was like to be publicly humiliated was enlightening and she deserved the standing ovation by the TED audience.
Just brilliant and her courage is remarkable.

President-elect wins fight to keep outsized flagpole, complete with saltire and gold ball on top, at Aberdeenshire resort”
“Donald Trump has had the last laugh in a battle over flags flying at his Aberdeenshire golf resort, winning approval for a 25-metre-high flagpole at the course.
A Scottish government reporter has overturned a ban on the pole, complete with a huge saltire and “gold anodised ball” on top, after the president-elect was ordered to take it down by Aberdeenshire council because he had erected it without planning permission.
The dispute came to light in June when the then Republican presidential candidate was confronted with Mexican flags put up temporarily by four of his most critical neighbours in an effort to show solidarity with Mexicans smeared by Trump during his presidential campaign.”
