    Funny thing that…Rights come with responsibilities.
    Reporters had special privileges , which came with the responsibility to report honestly and impartially.
    So any social contract is done.
    We the citizens did not start lying,scheming and colluding behind closed doors.

  4. I once respected The Press,way,way back,when some of ’em were NOT journalism school graduates,and still had a sense of decency.
    But in the last 25 years or so,I have come to detest the lying,agenda driven f***s, especially when they did what they did to Rob Ford, ambushing him at his house.(And I was no fan of Ford,just outraged that The Press had less of a moral foundation than the old Mafia who always left the families out of it.)
    I wish someone on the conservative side with the money, would hire good private investigators,complete with video equipment,to catch the actions of some of our msm Reporters when they let their hair down in private.
    Some Canadian columnists are bizarre in their language,often wondered if there was more to it than the public is aware of.
    I have the feeling there is a lot of cocaine and alcohol abuse in the industry,along with numerous other “failings” in that profession.
    But,so far,the msm have been,as some politicians, above honest scrutiny,as they tell us peasants how to live and even think.

But you are going to need people actually willing to lay down their lives if you are going after sharks. A slightly related point, I have always thought the first thing any actual conservative organization should do, is counter espionage. How long has everyone known about the long march through the institutions? The only successful pushback was senator Mccarthy; and you all know how public education treats him.

  7. Something going on at the Trump rally in Reno: security grabbed Trump and rushed him off the stage. There was some kind of tussle in the audience. Heavily armed guys came out. Eventually someone was ushered out.

  8. I watch the rallies on Right Side Broadcasting network on You Tube. Trump was taken out and is now on his way to his rally in Denver. They’ll be broadcasting that in half-an-hour.
    A gun is supposed to have been involved. The network couldn’t understand how anyone would get through the security with a gun, though.

I’ve got news for the press … The citizens have become the press. The citizens First Amendment rights Trump that of any organized group set against the people. The citizens break more news and provide more in-depth analysis, and represent a wider point of view than the so-called, self-identified press. Yep … straight to comments if anyone wants a full perspective, and complete story. The MSM “press” is an echo chamber, a circle jerk of certifiable brainwashed conformists.
    So they are heckled by the unannointed. The unclean masses hurl invectives and physical insults at the children in the press ? Wahh, mommy, they said mean things about me. Ohhh mamma, they feel threatened. Did they not consider they are simply reaping waves of the bad seeds they’ve planted ? Their bitter harvest is of their own hand (and mouths). The angry backlash these LIARS feel is of their own making. Nowhere does the US Constitution protect the “press” MORE than the citizen. So lay back and enjoy the mind rape. The public is fed up with the press, fed up with the outright LIES, distortion, and omission. Get used to pressies!

  13. It might be helpful to consider that the “Press” has been subjected to the same destructive forces that undermined all our other institutions. Nothing seems to be on the level. The MSM appears now to be a hybrid of tabloids and women’s magazines. The target audience is soap opera women who crave drama, gossip, and “sky is falling” memes. As,the public becomes inured to the latest BS, the pressure is on to ramp up the “news” with fabricated stories, baiting public figures, rumors, whatever is the most perverse and bizarre, aka click bait. It’s all about generating traffic and revenues.
