Interestingly, when you visit Florence, a big deal is made of many of its historical figures but try to find the house where Macchiavelli lived, the most famous of them all! It does exist and you can walk around the villa he walked around for 20 years while in internal exile.

  7. Sick of political crap here and south of the border. Most of us have more to be concerned about than the personal history of those who run for office. What they said, who they did, who they insulted, their hair style, their body shape,etc, etc is pure distraction from what they are saying and promising today as they vie for top political positions. No one is the epitome of purity of thought, word or deed, if there is such a person alive today good luck finding them.
    Trump is not a politician, he’s working at it, he’s not onto all the tricks, we get the real stuff, with Hillary we have a more polished politician and we may not always get the real deal, politically experienced, she knows how to handle questions like a true politician, evasion is one of their finest arts.
    If I were voting in the USA I would give Trump the nod. We can’t be smug in Canada, we have a PM who really doesn’t know what he’s doing. We don’t know who is running our ship behind the scenes as the front man of the Liberal cavorts about like a star.

  8. How about a contest to name the new LIEberal “carbon tax?”
    My suggestion is the: tRUDEau Carbon Tax.
    REASON: Like his father, ,P. E. tRUDEau is known in the West for his NEP and his famous “tRUDEau Salute” towards Western Canada; Just-in will be known for his Carbon Tax and exempting foreign oil from the tRUDEau Carbon Tax. Both tRUDEau’s have stressed Western vs Eastern relationships and alienation, and the tRUDEau Carbon Tax will remind Canadians every time they have to pay for the tax. (Just like the Grits Support Tories (GST) tax, the LIEberals promised to get rid or change it when they got into power, and never did a thing. Sheila Copps even resigned over that lie – but unfortunately she was re-elected. … Thus the name LIEberal.)

  23. By the way ,I am not disagreeing with your post . We have had more spinning and misrepresentation in the last year of Liberal government than I can recall in my life and yet there is a majority whom love it. I think we need to be patient as I see a huge potential for catastrophe. However, it is the people who actually produce and add value to the economy who will be left holding the bag.
