  1. What date you drive back to if you had Doc. Brown’s DeLorean?? What would you do once you got there??

  2. interesting, I hope Kate decides to start a TIPS thread so we could post things like that in there!!!

  3. “Travellers” illegally camping in his parking lot and the police don’t throw them out or fine them, so he gets mad enough to fight the speeding ticket and wins in court.
More people should get pissed off at the police and politicians, idiots will say they’re not being culturally sensitive, but rational people need to become louder than the idiots.

  4. Travellers? English version of useless people. Believed by many to make their living by thievery. Many are right. White English version of gypsies.

  5. I used to work at the DeLoren QAC (Quality Assurance Center) in Santa Ana, CA during that summer before they went belly-up. That’s  where they fixed all the defects and there were plenty (due to the sabotage of some of the factory workers. The civil disorder in Belfast was still simmering just below the surface). The company even brought a bunch of them over in the vain hope that if they worked with us the defects would decrease. The Protestants were all a$$holes but the Catholics were an absolute blast to hang (and drink) with.
The engine was a very sweet but underpowered V-6 which was a joint venture between Renault, Peugeot and one other that I can’t remember. It put put barely 168 HP but the car was very light…composite tub on a wishbone frame with the stainless “skins” hung on the tub and bulkheads. Even so, 88mph was about all that car could do (well, not really but you get the picture). It cornered like a cat.
Didja know that the dude that designed the Chevy Sting-Ray helped DeLoren design his namesake?  I even got to meet him once and shook his hand.
    It was a great summer.
