C’mon, we gotta save lives, keep them alive, so they can continue to scam, cheat, steal, lie, deal drugs, petty thefts and commit B&Es.
Oh, and keep the poverty pimps, and all the leeches that work at Insite, in jobs, cuz, like, life is hard.

I hate to sound uncaring but I have to say “who cares?” I don’t that’s for sure. They are overdosing at public expense…and the gov’t allows it to happen. They should be sent to a boot camp on an island until they recover and not allowed to shoot up at publicly paid for injection sites. I have no sympathy having lived with alcoholics and druggies who ruin not only their own lives but the lives of those around them. And yes they cheat lie live in their own filth etc etc. Why the government supports their drug habits is beyond me. No good will come of it.

How comforting that one can overdose in the secure confines of a government-funded injection site. It must bring on a sense of euphoria just to know their behaviour is being condoned by a loving, caring government. Sorry, no sympathy here.
I wonder how Darwin would describe this. Intellectual freedom seems to have evolved faster than. evolution. The cart is now in front of the horse. At least the best are left behind. Praised be Thor.

If supervision will help more of these junkies overdose, I’m all for it! Feature not a bug, and all that.
Dead junkies reduce the need for cops, lawyers, prosecutors, judges, jailers, and parole officers. So keep them alive and doing crime, so the War on Drugs continues to be a stunning success (in terms of employment for cops, lawyers, etc.)

What really pi–es me off is that my tax dollars are paying for it but they’r not doing anything about the other 2 of the supposed “three pillars” philosophy of treatment and counselling. All they’re doing is facilitating drug abuseS
The federal gov’t tried to get it shut down but the supreme court prevented the Harper Gov’t from doing so a few years ago.
What’s the big deal? Simply move it from the East side to the north. I’m sure all the SJW’s and fat cats there would love to show their caring and humanity for all the druggies in their neighbourhood. They could also show their superiority by welcoming them into their neighbourhoods for softball games,BBQ’s, and letting them date their sons/daughters.

Look at the bright side, thanks to the miracle of Narcan (Naloxone), most of these overdose addicts will survive, so they can OD over and over and over again!
Maybe when they get treatment (Ha!), they can also identify if they are HIV+, or just have the run of the mill STDs and Hepatitis.

The fact that government supervised shooting galleries are causing more deaths from drug overdose seems like a win-win situation to me. They could improve the service by giving addicts all the free drugs they want from what the cops confiscate busting drug dealers. ‘Dead junkies CAN take care of themselves’
These supervised sites are aiding and abetting chronic addiction by reducing the risk of taking increasingly larger amounts of drugs. I can understand the desire to help people but removing the risks of taking highly addictive drugs just isn’t the way to do it. Help the people who genuinely want to get off drugs. Eff the rest of them.

State subsidized and supervised “safe injection” sites for drug addicts but state obfuscation and hindrance every step of the way regarding e-cigarette use for safer smoking.
