Stop it, Kenney

Calgary MP Jason Kenney says a negative tweet featuring Alberta Premier Rachel Notley’s face sitting inside the crosshairs of a scope came from an attention-seeking loser.
The only thing worse than trolls on the ‘net are Internet Morality Cops. What’s worse than that? Moralizing politicians apologizing for stuff that has nothing to do with them. Don’t like drive-by’s? Do what everyone else on Twitter has done, leave. It isn’t like pols actually engage anyone on Twitter or Facebook. All that platform is to politicians is to fool the citizens into thinking their leaders are ‘accessible’. (Just like companies.)
Got a problem? Report it to the police and after that, keep your vote-seeking nose out of people’s business.

  1. Kenny does understand that the image isn’t a real gun? People on the right have to quit reacting to lefty set-ups. For the future the proper response is – “the artist was probably an angry NDP supporter that lost their job when Notley brought down the Alberta economy. I’m not going to start apologizing for actions of disappointed socialists.”

  2. How about Notley asking all the NDP trolls to back off from Sheila Gunn Reid, Outlaw Tory etc?
    Never going to happen.

  3. I feel Mr. Kemmey is doing far more harm than good dabbling in Alberta politics and am very intrested to know if Preston Manning is behind this endeavor I have asked him on his face book many time and get no response hmmmmmm

  4. Wasn’t Kenny the dude responsible for, and supportive of, the completely corrupt CSA?
Regardless, the time he spent immersed in progland has melted his brain.

  5. Typical establishment politician. Hopefully rural Alberta does not support these Ottawa (C)onservatives and keep their vote with actual (c)onservatives. The cities are awash for leftists, the cities got the NDP in.

  6. It’s not enough for commenters to castigate wimpy politicians in obscure places; would-be leaders have to jump in with slap-downs and weather the PC media’s knee-jerk reaction. The Trump campaign illustrates perfectly what timid conservatives will do to their champion’s (whether they recognise it or not) public image.

  7. Why is this man even running for leadership of this dead Party? Of nine seats, 2 of them are occupied by known NDP & an LPOC wannabes. The other nine are….conservative leaning?

  8. What’s wrong with the Progressives?
Why does he not write to the character that posted it, give him piece of his mind, give him hell.
To say that “….. he’s in favor of freedom of speech, but he draws the line at anyone who intimates violence….” means nothing.
Heh, using “but” negates preceding thought.
The guy obviously did not mean it and probably just could not stop himself in time from hitting the return.
What yer gotta do is heap scorn and ‘splain to the offender that he is an idiot and why it’s not helpful.
Not shut down free speech because you don’t like it. Admittedly that is difficult thing to do if you have nothing to say other than that free speech is not for you, you may have a problem of your own.
This is common problem with apparent conservatives, they will bend over backwards with their head stuck up their asses, however physical impossibility that contains, they can do it, are very good at it, it’s easy, you don’t have to think to come up with an argument.
If it was someone on Kenney’s team, that would be more difficult, however you can’t give your opponents and inch, you got to plug ahead.

  9. Funny how progressives always accuse others of their sins.
    An attention seeking loser.
Pretty much sums up Jason Kenney.
Too useless to perform his ministerial responsibilities, the dept of commerce continues to defraud and obstruct canadians.
What CSA is today is a tribute to Jason Kenney’s incompetence.
Law and Order…. yah right.. just another Kleptocrat who knows…”Laws are for the little people”.
There is a reason the conservatives had tepid support last election, Jason being one of them.

  10. As the “attention-seeking loser” in question, I think Kenny needs to be cut a little slack on this one. Both CTV and the NDP front group “Progress Alberta” were OVERTLY attempting to tie Kenny to the image I posted. If he didn’t comment or didn’t comment the way they wanted, they would have had him for lunch.
