More in the ‘From the mouths of babes’ file.
Trudeau said in an interview with Global Calgary that people in Edmonton and Saskatchewan who complain of being left out of changes to the program should feel fortunate their areas have not been harder hit by the downturn in energy prices.
Selfish dolts, if you’re unemployed should be happy that you’re not, umm, unemployed.

The jackasses in Edmonton elected a couple Liberals and a Bolshevik. Voting has consequences.
Indeed.
I’ve lived in both Edmonton and Calgary, and the Edmonton folks inexplicably keep trying to elect governments which will be manifestly unhealthy for their economic prospects, and whenever they succeed to even the smallest degree, they seem to be utterly perturbed that their Chosen Ones don’t automagically usher in The Glorious World Of Next Tuesday™.
Dolts!
The folks in Edmonton are like a bucket full of crabs where when one tries to climb out of the bucket, the others pull him back in.
Watch the drama coach speak in this video and compare it to the soap he can put on when blathering about himself and the brave new world he wants you believe in. His ums and ahs; the shifty eyes; the constant effort to keep the trademark smirk suppressed. He is a deer in the headlights; lying through his teeth; pushing BS and not doing a very good job of hiding it. Will be very interesting to watch the bloom come off as the inclination to give him the benefit of the doubt recedes and the consequences of his policies produce more frequent occasions where he has to deal with bad news he would rather not touch on. The rest of his cabinet, chosen mostly on the basis of having even less experience with real consequences than their master, are similarly brittle when faced with tough questions.
Yeah, that smirk. Ain’t it special?
With JT’s heritage, I am not surprised he sees the problem with people in Edmonton and Saskatchewan clearly.
They are not in Quebec.
One problem about Edmonton is that there appears to be a lack of imagination.
For example, my federal riding here in the city used to be represented by some smart-aleck Conservative. He didn’t do a whole lot while in office except take advantage of is MP entitlements and engage in some unseemly behaviour. He was replaced by a do-nothing NDipper who somehow managed to be re-elected back in October.
Worse yet, Red Rachel is the MLA for my provincial riding.
This used to be such a good city…..
Edmonton has a lower unemployment rate for 2 main reasons. There is still a lot of construction going on that started before the downturn – the new arena and several office towers. Once those are finished, the jobs will go. Also Edmonton is the capitol and one thing the NDP is good at is growing government. They’ve expanded the public sector by over 12%.
Notley has yet to bring in her first budget almost a year after she was elected and it looks like they will discard their job creation program that they were so proud of. Add to that the upcoming carbon tax and hikes in the minimum wage and we are in a whole lot of trouble.
AB and Sask have been hardest hit by the oil downturn, but with the least Grit seats – so no help for you. Thanks for the transfer payments btw.
In fact the rest of the country is doing relatively better due to lower oil prices, particularly ON, even QC though it will remain a fiscal suckling along with the Maritimes. Nfld has been hit hard too but there are Grit seats available so – anyway Justin didn’t bring his calculator so don’t expect an answer.
Someone is doing a nice job of keeping track of record and promises of Justin the geek, oh sorry, great – at spending OPT. This is a good one to add to favourites, given the mediocracy will wipe the public record just in time for the next election, they no doubt added to future bailouts and patronage:

14 broken so far. No biggies eh, just limiting deficits to less than stupid enough $10b for three years, tripling that, along with consequential balanced budget and steady debt/gdp promises, which are apparently Alberta’s fault. Meanwhile, Bombardier bellies up big time, Irving Shipyards & other Grit cronies count their pork and once again what’s left of our out of favour aerospace industry gets a good kick in the nooks over the CF35 delay cancellation and no CF18 successor chosen. That’s good for $5b that would have been on the Tory books this year; and go from there. But then again he’s investing in early learning as promised. No, but what about youth employment investments? FTC cancellation revenue neutral? It’s easy to lie to useful idiots.
A proper comparison with Tory finances would likely yield a deficit near $40b, on an upward trajectory. Youth unemployed and children get ditched along with the rest of us peasants. Let them eat cake indeed. How long will the middle class be stupid enough to vote themselves free stuff at a premium?
For all those who believed his and Ralph’s election nonsense, let them eat crow.
lance, sorry to point out that in quote,
“Trudeau said in an interview with Global Calgary that people in Edmonton and Saskatchewan who complain of being left out of changes to the program should feel fortunate their areas have not been harder hit by the downturn in energy prices.”
you’ve left out all the gasps for air, or what ever they are, that our PM COPD always has the necessity to insert into anything he’s says.
Maybe someone could mention to justin to just cut back a little on the amount of pot he’s smoking, as it seems to be harming his lungs.
Try harder, Mr Keeps Trying.
From his last visit here.
“I’m optimistic with the kinds of investments in infrastructure we’re doing, the more generous Canada Child Benefit cheques we’ll be sending families, with the existing changes that apply right across the country on EI, things are going to get better,” he said.
Not optimism, delusion.
Restoring tanker traffic on the west coast would be a cause for optimism.
Blowing taxes on windmills and solar panels is not investment. There is no return on that kind of spending and it not self-sustaining.
The reason P.M. Trudeau (reiteration model) is not providing Edmonton with extended E.I. is the majority of thinking Edmontonians understand the concerted effort by the Liberal Party of Canada/Ontario/Quebec to establish an effective Liberal Party Crony network in Edmonton since the First P.M. Trudeau gave Alberta the “finger”.
The election of the despised N.D.P. Party to clear out the obese; Liberal inspired Conservative Deadwood over the much protected and failed Edmonton Liberal Crony Class cannot be rewarded by the (reiteration). This would defame the Original and possibly inhibit the elimination of the existing obese; Liberal Party Protected Crony Class.
After watching Sheila Gunn Reid’s video comments on The Rebel’s YouTube channel, it occurred to me that there’s a reason that the Clown Prince doesn’t understand the unemployment situation in Alberta. It’s because he’s a typical leftist urban elitist who happens to be rich.
He behaves as if the fault lies not with government policies or economic circumstances–those people are unemployed because they made the decision to be born into the working class. If they had made the right choice and were born wealthy, they wouldn’t have to worry about being out of work, right? (Please tell me I’m wrong!)
He reminds me of the narrator in the Joe Walsh song “Life’s Been Good”, whose attitude is summed up in the first verse:
I have a mansion,
Forget the price.
Ain’t never been there,
They tell me it’s nice.
I live in hotels,
Tear out the walls.
I have accountants
Pay for it all.
We have ourselves a prime minister who’s completely disconnected from the live of the taxpayers.
turdo a doo…just a silly little tit. His only value is that finally someone came along on the international stage who can make Obammy seem smart and brave.
He is proof positive that when it comes to picking a leader, Yanks are a bit smarter than Canucks.
The family trust paying the freight is how he thinks the middle class lives
He and Nutley are happy to supply Alberta with “Syrian” Refugees. Today it’s Diabetes, Hypertension, Education and welfare………..
Tomorrow it’s hip replacements, heart transplants, and (GIS)Guaranteed Income Supplement for the Aunts, Uncles and grandparents who follow.
“One clinic in Calgary, the Mosiac Primary Care Refugee Clinic, has already treated 721 Government of Canada sponsored refugees for chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.”

I hate the breathless way he speaks publicly, as if an amateur drama teacher were trying to impart importance to their words.
Giving out free “other peoples’ money” is not investing. It is bribing.
I was talking about *infrastructure when I said it wasn’t investing, what are you talking about?
*as in the Zoolander Quote
There is minimal infrastructure in the budget
Mostly studies and aboriginal spending , no concrete results
Wonder why no one has simply super imposed a map of Liberal seats, and areas that benefitted from this “reform”. It is simple with Liberals; always about the comfy fur.
“Infrastructure” in Progressive Speak means enriching our friends and impoverishing the lowly taxpayers children.
LIV’s never realize the Guild of Parasites use “coded language” to suck the marks in.
Course LIV’s can go a whole lifetime without realizing they are the marks.
I am sure the pious parasites call for The Lords Blessing for all the mugs that keep them slurping at the trough.
Gotta order my “Don’t Blame me,I voted conservative” T shirt.
Pretty Vacant will soon be like VanderZam in BC.
Elected with a majority, yet after 3 years it was impossible to find one person who would admit to having supported him.
We are also stuck with educating these migrants. This is an extra burden on the education system that the province did not budget for. Trudeau acts like we should be grateful that he gave us this amazing gift of “new Canadians”. Instead he’s saying, “I just brought them here, it’s your problem now.”
http://edmontonjournal.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-refugee-student-funding-a-province-wide-issue
Edmonton public school trustees decided last week to send a letter to the federal government asking for $2 million in funding to help pay for the education of Syrian students arriving in local schools as part of Canada’s effort to resettle tens of thousands of refugees fleeing a terrible civil war.
Bongo is just like the old man. They set out to punish those that aren’t ‘with them’. If your not a liberano… well your fair game. It’s the Jesuit way and a liberal staple. Nothing new here.
The “Bongwhisperer”……
Oz….Yep and Yep. Totally disgusted with WESTERN governance EVERYWHERE…and i’m well beyond mad.
Energy East – Tanker Traffic on the West Coast – yet Bombardier who DOES NOT need the money gets a Billion….??? if that isn’t a SHOVE it Up your (_i_) to the West I don’t know what is…???
I would love to see the RAIL line from Ft Mac to Valdez become a reality….Why that is not happening is a complete mystery to me..??
