  3. I have noticed a strange phenomenon in my neck of the woods lately. The number of red Liberal lawn signs far outnumbers even the ugly orange monstrosities of the socialists. In my constituency the Liberals didn’t even run a candidate in 2011. Yeah I know … lawn signs don’t vote but I still wonder how anyone could bring themselves to support the Liberals. On the other hand, I have always wondered how anyone could support the NDP. At first I was somewhat troubled by the proliferation of Liberal signs but then I realized that anyone stupid enough to vote Liberal would undoubtedly have switched their vote from the NDP thereby splitting the Wall Derangement Syndrome vote and opening the way for another Sask Party win. This riding has always been a tough fight but, with any luck, the Sask Party incumbent will come out on top.

Molly described an incident when, singled out negatively for being Jewish, she felt unsafe. According to Molly, the facilitator responded that Molly could feel victimized for being female, but “being Jewish didn’t constitute grounds for systematic oppression.'”
    This mandatory “workshop” is indoctrination, pure and simple, combined with intimidation. It has no place on campus, or anywhere else for that matter.

    So here are two brand new leftist anti-concepts used to deny reality. These claims of “distraction” go back a long way. During the days of the fight against apartheid, any attempt to add context by mentioning the deplorable state of human rights in black-run African states was often met with claims that it would be a “distraction” or it would “water down the message”.
    Also note the standard leftist hypocrisy (their modus operandi): when someone criticizes the appalling lack of human rights in Cuba, the leftists will point to the allegedly outstanding health care or education systems. What’s that, “medicarewashing”?

  11. Nice to know we are not at war with ISIL, I assume that includes it’s other branch ISIS. That means we are their friends and they will not attack us. What a relief! I expect the rest of the world to declare the same, I mean, if Canada’s government “led” by such a popular Prime Minister who people around the world are gushing over and going crazy to get a selfie with, they’re going to think he’s got it right. This could spell the end of terrorism for sure. I see a Nobel Peace Prize coming his way.

    The use of muddy acronyms like ISIL, ISIS and Daesh is another.
    Let’s call the thing what it is – Islamic State – and label it what it is – an enemy that must be comprehensively defeated in the common interest of our civilization.

    Despite doing all they could to win the by-election in Calgary, the NDP still lost. They set up an illegal campaign office using taxpayer funds; they rescheduled a cabinet meeting from Edmonton to Calgary on election day so that they could assist in getting out the vote; and they still got trounced.     Sorry, it doesn’t exist on my dial, I refuse to give it any credence of existence, let alone, give it a click and time period, observing its propaganda, so it can claim “viewership”.

  19. That Gomeshi guy has just been cleared of all charges against him. The 2 complainants were too scatter-brained to stay with their original stories. Although I think this guy is a psycho, I do believe justice was served in this case. Let the Femmie screaming begin.

  20. The CBC has only 3 uses for me now. I listen directly to the Saturday afternoon opera broadcasts on Radio 2. I download the podcasts for “Quirks and Quarks”. Once in a while, I might listen to one for “Ideas”, provided it isn’t about some touchy-feely left-wing topic. (Last summer, it re-broadcast its series on the War of 1812. Great stuff!)

  24. Yesterday my 11 year old son told me that they had done a fake election at school. I was intrigued, so I asked him what he learned about the parties. He said “The NDP want to help people who don’t have anything and will fix the broken roads. The Sask Party only wants to help businesses and their friends and they won’t fix the roads.”
    We had a long talk…

    Kids that age having a fake election at school is nothing more than an opportunity for teachers to indoctrinate socialist dogma into their students. I’m not saying that eleven year olds are stupid but they aren’t quite ready to look at the facts and make an educated decision. An examination of the facts would have this young lad arriving at a much different conclusion.
    As for having a talk with the teacher …. complete waste of time. He/she is probably so saturated with leftist DNA that it would be similar to debating with a house plant.

  29. Scott, the same thing happened at the school where three of our gkids go. The two oldest, grade eleven and grade nine, defend the conservative view and argue that socialism is destructive.
    This kind of indoctrination has been going on for decades in Canada and in the US. It is no wonder that the likes of Bernie Sanders has a significant support and here in Canada about two thirds support socialism in the lite and radical versions.

    Stalin’s boys did their job well in the 1950s, and these pathetic people would have a real shock when they have to line for toilet papers some day, if they are lucky. If they are not lucky, they will have a suitcase packed waiting for the 4 AM visit.
