  23. Funny is it not to have the Liberal Prime Minister appoint 7 people to the Senate and little to nothing is being made of it in the media. If this is being done as a shield for the upcoming budget it’s not working.
    It’s also proof the Senate is of no real interest among the media hacks when Liberals do the appointing.
    No one cares a rat’s bum about the outcome of the Duffy circus trial either, the circus shut down when the Harper and his Conservatives were replaced with the Liberal Cabal.

Ive missed every one of them so far. and it ain’t looking good for future observations. regarding electricity consumption, I reminded my tenants Im on a fixed rate contract (which is in the ‘payback’ period now, ie lower than the usurious rates ms wynned farm has ‘produced’), therefore feel free to do laundry any time during waking hours any day of the week. the duuuhh, smert meters have NO effect on the rate I pay.

  28. I don’t remember Butts Hour being popular where I live. Over the years, I noticed fewer people switching off their lights each time.
    After I found out who was really behind it, I stopped observing it myself. During that time last night, I watched a movie and at least had some decent entertainment. It’s better than sitting in the dark and wondering how much longer I have to put up with it.

  30. I was an active shortwave listener during much of the 1980s. One station that I often heard was Radio Havana. It was hard to miss because it not only put a strong signal into western Canada, it often interfered with adjacent frequencies, such as those carrying the BBC World Service.
    I remember when, as part of its sign-on announcement, it claimed it was broadcasting from “Cuba, free territory of America”.
