    How many UN Secretary Generals were Americans or American Presidents? None.

    I don’t know whether or not you’re an American, but the people and governments of other nations, particularly non-white nations, aren’t as unfathomably impressed by Obama’s melanin content as Americans are.
    Obama’s chances of being a UN General Secretary are exactly zero.
    I don’t know where people like you get such ridiculous ideas.
    Understand that Russia and the People’s Republic of China are permanent UN Security Council members who have VETOES to cast on such things.
    Imagine Vladimir Putin being UN General Secretary for some perspective on how absurd the idea of Obama holding that position is.
    UK and France, also permanent security council members with vetoes, would veto Putin in a heartbeat, as would China
    No former leader of a permanent security council member nation will ever be UN General Secretary.
    It would tear the UN apart.
    If Obama were to become Secretary General of the UN, it would cause the demise of the United Nations as an entity.(which supposedly exists to unite nations, something that Obama is an amazing failure at doing)
    Obama’s foreign policy and diplomacy have been the WORST of any American President during my lifetime.(Eisenhower was the first US President in my lifespan)
    Obama has devided the American people worse than any POTUS in my lifetime too.
    Obama is a divider, not a uniter.

We are all guilty of playing the schoolyard game when we should be looking at what’s being said and who has the best qualifications for the responsible job of running and/or presiding over the affairs of state.     The irony, of course, is that you’re pointing this out in a blog post that happily reproduces, without comment or criticism, a hack piece by a gossip columnist citing anonymous sources, on a blog that specializes in schoolyard name-calling (“Oh Shiny Pony”, “Les Libranos”, “Bill’s Wife”) and juvenile antics (“Poll Spotting!”, “It’s a contest!”).
    Imagine how effective SDA could be if it spent less time sneering at others and snickering to itself in the back row and more time actually engaging seriously in our country’s political discourse and debate.

Actually this blog is very informative, good research is done on the issues presented. We also need some levity from time to time.Some of the best politicians throughout history, Churchill for example, are proof of that.
