  7. Well said … and whatever happened to the Italian people ? I am sad to argue that they have never recovered from the collapse of their Empire. Apart from making some really sweet-looking supercars, gorgeous loafers and heels, along with a nice rustic cuisine ? The most significant Italian export since the peak of Empire is the Cosa Nosta. Sad.

Watching that video is like watching a documentary on the US Army that talks about how the US Revolutionary War was fought with hand-cranked gatling guns operated by actors dressed as Vietnam-era marines. I get that it’s supposed to be a survey video to get people interested, but “the Roman Army” spans a period of 900 years.

No point in refraining from criticizing Justin forever or these outrageous plans will go on and on. Elections over. Harper is truly gone. The first priority should now be saving our country.

  19. The climatologists cannot even predict the temperature with any reliability. But it doesn’t stop them from going ahead and trying to predict the wind. I wonder if they put the effects of all those spinning wind turbines into their models.

Jonathan Kay included in his George Jonas piece an astute comment Jonas made (paraphrasing) — “The only thing you can predict about the future is that people will be just as stupid as they are today.” Ain’t that the truth? For a while I tried paying some attention to the warmists and researching their claims. Not any more — it is too ridiculous. I think it is only die hard greenies and corrupt politicians still pushing this stuff. It just is no longer credible.

    Ah yes, a government pension investing in a government infrastructure program. Oh right, that’s government “investment,” pilfering public pension plans which are already underfunded. What are the chances of a return of, let alone a return on, the money?
    Remember the WOF (Working Opportunites-but most failures-Fund). We used to say it was a real dog. Now we can have the POF (Pension Opportunities Fund) where money just disappears. Oh yeah, isn’t big stupid government wonderful?

  24. They’ll spend it on projects like the stupid Pearson to Union train service that is now in operation at less than 10 percent capacity. It’s nearly empty mostly because the fare is so expensive you might as well take a cab.
