Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Interesting to know how and why States get their “super delegates”. It seems like plain old gaming the system. If Hillary “steals” the nomination in this fashion, I think people will vote for the Republicans or stay home.
Apparently 19.6% percent of delegates at the Democratic Convention are super delegates, free to vote for whoever they wish (although apparently some have to justify why, whatever that means). 6.5% of delegates at the Republican Convention are super delegates.
If Clinton defeats Sanders because of super delegates, people might be pissed.
Love that good old American democracy.
Super delegates have been around in the U.S. Democratic Party for over 30 years. They are there to avoid a democratic convention from selecting the ‘wrong’ leader of the Democratic Party. (i.e. McGovern, Carter). Irony isn’t a strong suit of the left apparently.
Clinton already has 1/6th of the delegates needed….
Clinton already has 1/6th of the delegates needed….
And that’s why they’re the Democrat Party and not the Democratic Party
There are no super delegates in the GOP.
Dem supers are ex office types like party presidents in various states.
”If Hillary “steals” the nomination in this fashion, I think people will vote for the Republicans or stay home.”
That’s why Hillary won’t stoop to that. Sanders will have an accident or heart attack and then she wins the nomination fair and square.
Democratically speaking, dem Democrats aren’t very democratic.
They should rebrand as the Autocratic Party, they’d probably get about the same constituent vote, demographically speaking.
Shouldn’t Bernie be happy about this??
I mean taking a little off the top of the winners to support people less fortunate even if they might not deserve it…. This is one of the central tenants of his campaign and part of his core beliefs, right??
Excellent point, share the vote wealth.
I believe Bernie is the one Obama wants as his ideology supports the next step in the ‘transformation of America” into a dictatorial state.
Pretty sure Bernie and Justin share the same misfiring brain cell. Both hate their country, are dumb as posts and completely malleable to the whims of progressive world leaders. The results will not benefit the citizens over which they rule.
Steve, they are far from democratic that is why they keep calling themselves the democratic party instead of what they were or are, the democrat party. you are correct.
The Democraps already have a narrative for this phenomenon … they will say that Bernie is only being supported in fly-over country … or the outer fringe counties of each state. And that Hillary has the support in all the “civilized” urban centers … therefore … She WINS !
This is *precisely* why there were Leftist riots at the 1968 Democrat convention in Chicago.
I pray to God it happens again…
BTW, this is also how the RINOs expect to derail Trump in a brokered convention.
and this is the ‘democracy’ ‘mercuns have been exporting every time they meddle in some other nations affairs . . . .
so these superglue delegates have been around since McGovern screwed the pooch. kinda like solving one problem by creating thousands more. politishuns are famous for that.
