  4. I am still trying to get over the popular media term semi-automatic pistol. While I have fired revolvers and automatic pistols, I have never fired or seen a semi-automatic pistol. I am not even sure what they would look like.
    Gun control is all about lies. Apparently if you sell a gun privately without a background check, you are supposed to know the person and know he isn’t a criminal. Anyone who sells guns as a business, regardless of how few is already required to register as a dealer. A lot of hot air.

  10. The most worrisome thing of all is that the great majority of citizens have no idea of the amount and breadth of the daily propaganda being fed to them….In the US and In Canada as well.
    Social Engineering is the # 1 mandate of all MSM….Gun control being only a small facet of their compendium of lies.

  12. In Canada we have a great system. You apply for s gun permit. The police do a background check then issue you with a handy little picture ID that states that you have been back ground checked. If you go to a gun store to buy a gun, you show the dealer the card, then the dealer knows you have had a background check. He doesn’t need to do it again because its already been done and you have presented the proof. It really is not very complicated.

  14. Interesting … it made think about how the Republicans in America are trying to institute similar ID’s for voting. So that everyone can PROVE they are eligible to vote … and can vote only ONCE. You know … one man(woman) – one vote ? You know … the foundation of a Democracy ? I am certain that the Democrat/Leftists in America would EMBRACE a similar photo ID for gun purchases in America. But a photo ID to vote … ? Waah, wahhh, waaaahhhh … go the Leftists ! You be DIS-enfran-chizing me ! Voter suppression ! Voter suppression !!!! Despite the FACT that both gun ownership AND voting are guarantees of the US Constitution. Seems to me that BOTH would benefit from a little PROOF of citizenship. PROOF of eligibility

    I have no problem with the system, you show your PAL,and are out the door five minutes later with your new gun.Last one I bought they didn’t even write my PAL number down.

  18. Canadians are just two steps away from confiscation of fire arms. No conceal-carry, no open-carry, highly restrictive regs on handguns, and an out-of-control RCMP bent on harassing long gun owners-all wrapped up in an urban anti-gun culture. Look for the Spawn to recycle the long gun registry as the first step in confiscation.

    I figured there might be some outrage at the recent shooting in Laroche, but that would point out the obvious, that the rules don’t apply on Rez., so Wendy and her gang let that one rest.

    at cabelas in barrie, ontario you have to produce a pal id before they will even take a pistol out of the display cabinet.
    if you want to buy a firearm, you plunk down the money and fill out all the requisite paperwork and they then fax it to the firearms gawds who check to see you didn’t have an argument with your girlfriend or wife since the last time you bought a gun.
    if you pass muster, you get to come back a few days later and pick up your evil thunderstick. you can see why the lads up at jane & finch, for instance, have decided to cut out the middleman.
    the government makes it as cumbersome as possible for law-abiding citizens to own fireams in canada. it does nothing to sanction actual criminals. don’t fool yourself otherwise…

  24. When did you last buy a firearm ,neo? It sounds like the Cabela’s store is doing the sale the way they used to before Harper closed the LGR. I wonder if they know something we don’t, or are just covering their ass just in case.
    I bought a hunting rifle last September from Wholesale Sports.The clerk checked by PAL visually,iow,he looked at it and said,”yeah,that’s you”, then walked me to the cash register and I was out of the store in less than ten minutes from when I entered.
    I bought a hunting rifle about four years ago,when the LGR was still in operation keeping us Canadians safe from the forces of evil, and the clerk took down my info, looked at my PAL,and copied the number onto a form he then faxed to the LGR in New Brunswick, came back two minutes later and handed me the gun and a copy of the fax form.
    The only thing they could have checked in that time was to see if my PAL was still valid.
    If your Cabela’s experience was post 2015 federal election,I wonder what is going on.

    Because you need a valid license to possess a firearm. If they just handed to you without checking, the moment you hold it in your hand you’re a criminal.

  26. I don’t know what Cabela’s is up to. I have bought guns at two different retailers in the last couple of years. I did not have to produce my PAL to look at a gun, and all I had to do to make the purchase was show them the PAL when I gave them the money and they gave me my gun. Maybe It was different for you because you were looking at hand guns. The firearms registry still exists for handguns.
