    This is as good as any explanation I have seen for Obama and company’s refusal to lift a finger to help their Ambassador and his protectors. From the article:

As Investors Business Daily editorialized on October 24, “Within an hour’s flight time from Libya, at the large naval air station in Sigonella, Italy, and at bases in nearby Aviano and Souda Bay, were fighters and AC 130 gunships that can be extremely effective in dispersing crowds or responding to a terrorist assault.” But the order for the rescue never came. Maybe because Barack Obama did not want to offend Muslim sensibilities by such a show of force.–

    Folks, it is no wonder (Teflon)Donald Trump never reveals his weaknesses when asked in interviews. He is a living breathing Achilles. Saul Alinsky arrows simply bounce off of his chest. You attack him, your life falls apart or you’re out of the presidential race. It is a fascinating tale whether you support him or not and is something we’ve never seen in our lifetime.

    The video is blocked even on The Rebel site so Global has managed to have it taken down. It looks to me like Global may have excerpted part of the video you linked to, broadcast it on their newscast and is now claiming copyright ownership. So Global believes in fair use for themselves but not for anyone else.

    Meanwhile in Canada, we get what others voted for, the ninny state where wasting $billions is sound governance:

Spanking demonstrates decisive children parental authority for those who choose to use it and kids find out there are mildly uncomfortable limits to their willful behaviour.
    Certainly more ignorance and bigotry from faith haters is what’s needed to stop parents from being parents. We all voted for that eh? Making some corrupt native leaders unaccountable, thus giving them a free ride to abuse their constituents will make the natives’ situation so much better will it? I think not – look how well it’s worked so far.

    In July 2013, the Joint Chiefs found a more direct way of demonstrating to Assad how serious they were about helping him. By then the CIA-sponsored secret flow of arms from Libya to the Syrian opposition, via Turkey, had been underway for more than a year (it started sometime after Gaddafi’s death on 20 October 2011).​ The operation was largely run out of a covert CIA annex in Benghazi, with State Department acquiescence. On 11 September 2012 the US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, was killed during an anti-American demonstration that led to the burning down of the US consulate in Benghazi; reporters for the Washington Post found copies of the ambassador’s schedule in the building’s ruins. It showed that on 10 September Stevens had met with the chief of the CIA’s annex operation. The next day, shortly before he died, he met a representative from Al-Marfa Shipping and Maritime Services, a Tripoli-based company which, the JCS adviser said, was known by the Joint Staff to be handling the weapons shipments.

  19. IMHO Hersch is dodgy as a reporter and these assertions were widely disseminated, though obviously suppressed by the mediocracy. But if there is any fact behind the idea of diplomatic involvement in arms dealing, not only will Trump know about it but he will use it against Clinton, with great prejudice. It won’t matter that he once thought she and Obama were OK. Nor is he afraid of her army of lawyers from the Clinton Foundation, having his own battled hardened hired guns.
    He won’t be cowed away by blowhard tantrums as other GOP candidates would. Again in my view, with Carly Fiorina in tow as VP nominate, he will mop the floor with Hillary in debating and campaigning. In any event, as in our recent PM winner Trudeau, a compliant media can be relied upon to order the voter to choose Clinton because that’s “what Americans want.” Begging the question memes are what they like best after all. Trump, like Harper should have, has already ditched the media and the establishment in favour of a grass roots populist appeal to the independent (and possibly new) voter, unfettered by concerns over financial supporters’ sensibilities.
    Unfortunately in the now present economics addled states of America, that doesn’t guarantee a POTUS win for the GOP, so Trump’s grassroots style is probably their only chance anyway. I suspect many of the RINOs need to do a re-read of the preamble to their constitution to understand the kind of liberty Trump is talking about to gain an understanding of the frustration of voters with brokerage politics.
    In Canada we call it peace, order & good government (2/3 doesn’t work), not the incompetent statist disasters we nee throughout NA and Europe; not that the rest are any better. Americans call it life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (would that be one or two out of three?).
    The Dems will have to rely on voters believing they are more affluent, freer and happier than before (and maybe they are to some extent) but again the Dauphin showed us that reality is a tougher sell than pop politics and pre-packaged false narratives. Too bad for the Dems neither Trump nor the public seem interested in their sound bytes a the ready, feigned crises of global warming, Islamophobia and the gun culture.
    How ironic that it is now Donald Trump offering hope and change to the American people!!! What delicious blowback.
