Summer is a very special time of year in Finland because it only lasts for three days. In tonight’s reprise amusement en route to the tips, the Porkka Playboys celebrate the season by finding a clear space in the taiga to rock their tightly-packed vee-hickle with an enthusiastic rhapsody.

  5. Agreed. especially the last line. ‘Don’t whine and complain when your city’s infrastructure is decaying and falling apart and there’s no money to repair it. Instead of whining and complaining make sure you look into the mirror and realize you believed a lie that has cost this incredible country and our future generations an amazing opportunity to prosper and succeed globally. Whatever, I’m gonna go watch HNIC.”
    If you want a first hand experience on what this guy is saying, take a tour of Detroit. Hard to believe you can actually drive to what was once the Mecca of automobile manufacturing, hop on a tour bus, and drive around the city to view the ruins of what is now the epitome of human error. My nephew drove there on a motorbike from Winnipeg last year, and his exact words were, ”Uncle, what I saw was a collection of catastrophic mistakes.” He’s studying Municipal Administration, (CMMA??) so what better place to take notes.

    CARACAS, Venezuela – In Venezuela, the opposition has pulled off a surprise election victory – winning at least 99 out of 167 seats in a parliamentary vote.
    It’s the biggest setback for the socialist government since the late president Hugo Chavez came to power in 1998. When the result was announced, a huge cheer went up at opposition headquarters.

    A New England police union is poised to formally throw its support behind Republican front runner Donald Trump at an event in New Hampshire Thursday.
    Trump FlynnThe New England Police Benevolent Association will be holding a “presidential candidate’s forum” in Portsmouth tomorrow night for the purposes of endorsing a candidate. Donald Trump is scheduled to appear, his campaign tells Seacoast Online.

  12. In today’s Courier the Trudeau Government are giving his partners (First Nations) a whole lot of money. Gone is the 2% budget ceiling so no cap on Indian Affairs budget for First Nations. Next more funding for education and third a huge budget to pay for lawyers and consultant to do inquiry .
    Watch now for GST increase and several new taxes to pay for all the spending . How long until Canada will be like Venezuela?? Already I do not recognize my Canada.

  23. Fundraising email just received from the CPC. Oh shiny prime minister in dead. How soon before the bags full of cash start showing up.
    Well that didn’t take long.
    Not even two months on the job, and the Liberals have already started raffling off access to their Cabinet Ministers.
    First, they offered up a chance to win a ticket to the Liberal Caucus Christmas Party. All you had to do to rub shoulders with the Prime Minister and Cabinet was chip in some money to the Liberals.
    But that’s not the worst of it.
    Next, the Liberals ran a contest to win a home visit from the Minister of Finance (in exchange for a donation, of course). This was so bad, the Ethics Commissioner stepped in and shut it down.
    They’re stomping on the Parliamentary Ethics Rules meant to protect Canadians …
    … Rules brought in because of the ethical failures of the last Liberal government!

  27. @maz2: I thought the “2003 Communications Act” only governed the use of the airways and electronic media (internet). It’s a huge bureaucratic mess of an act so maybe I missed it. Preaching a sermon doesn’t seem to fit there. Can you enlighten?
