Tonight, we look back at a friendlier, happier, more innocent time, and have a friendly chat with some Parisians on the sidewalk in front of the Bataclan.
Bonus: A touching reminder that you’re never too young to be taught flower power.

  1. Perhaps you’re encouraged to hear about the putative state governor revolts over the proposed “refugee” invasion. Well, don’t be. Curb Your Optimism.
Scroll down for Karl Denninger’s explanation of the “governor hand waving”. It’s Kabuki theatre all the way down folks. Two passages toward the end:

That’s what’s behind both the intentional tolerance of illegal immigration and now the importation of hundreds of thousands of so-called “refugees.” The problem is that these people have zero intention of providing the funds necessary to make those promises good and they cannot be compelled to do so; instead, they will take the welfare we hand to them and live off it, cranking out more and more children that will be raised to live like them, sucking off the government teat and increasing cost rather than revenue. Worse, those children will be citizens, at least in the US and once they gain majority status there goes our Constitutional Republic

    …….snip…….

That’s what’s going on here folks — these people are not stupid, but those in Washington (and in the halls of Europe) are. They believe these “immigrants” and “refugees” will assimilate into their cultures and that their welfare handouts are “temporary assistance.” They, and we, are wrong. Those handouts are simply taken as a means of supporting the production of as many children as these “refugees” are able to produce and yet both these immigrants and their children utterly refuse to become French, German or American — at best they hyphenate their claimed nationality and at worst they don’t even bother with doing that.

  2. Canadian fighter jets, in today’s anti-Isis action:
“Air Task Force-Iraq (ATF-I) is part of Joint Task Force-Iraq (JTF-I). It is currently deployed as part of Operation IMPACT, which is the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) support to the Middle East Stabilization Force (MESF) – the multinational coalition against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Republic of Iraq and in Syria.
The following provides information about airstrikes conducted by Canadian CF-188 Hornet fighter aircraft to date. An airstrike is an aerial attack which is intended to inflict damage on or destroy an objective.”

  3. My parents landed in Canada with four kids under the age of seven. My dad had about two hundred dollars after the boat fare with which to start a new life. We lived hand in mouth for the next four years; in various tenement houses while my dad worked hard at his job and went to night school for upgrading.
He managed to buy a well used second hand car after a while and swung a mortgage on a modest house in Richmond Hill by 1957.
Never once did he get, expect or would have accepted a gov’t handout…he was a proud man.
He worked hard and prospered and had the added satisfaction of having accomplished something that I imagine few present day immigrants of his then circumstances would even consider.
It was a challenge, it tested his mettle and he passed it in aces.
My parents were so strapped for cash in the early days that my mom recalled living mostly on onions and potatoes for a period.
I don’t remember that…I was too young, but I do remember eating ketchup sandwiches at times.
My dad was a hard man to like; though I will always be the first to say I was proud of him, both for his value system and the struggles he went through to make a better life for his family.

  5. What a buffoon PM Peter Principle is. Embarassing and immature.
And the left this proud of this, cheering him on.

  8. Great story. My family has much the same story, only thirty years earlier in 1926. No handouts then either, as the sponsor was responsible to keep one off the welfare roll, for housing and to get the family started. We never got a dime of government assistance.

WUWT: “Before entering politics, Amber worked in banking. If there is one thing dealing with business and finance teaches you, that lesson is not to ignore inconsistencies – an inconsistency is a red flag that something is wrong, that your understanding of the situation is incomplete. This refusal to tolerate unanswered questions, our refusal to be satisfied with blind submission to self proclaimed scientific authority, our need for answers which make sense, is what led many of us into climate skepticism.”

  10. Right. We are so screwed with these clowns in charge. The only time Justin, Ralph and Obama get passionate is when they are talking about Islamophobia. (Well, Obama does get passionate about white policemen and conservatives, but never ISIS).
Ralph Goodale: No Need To Raise Canada’s Threat Level After Paris Attacks
    Justin Tang/The Canadian Press
OTTAWA — Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says there’s no reason to raise Canada’s threat level, even in the wake of the deadly attacks in Paris last week.
The minister says authorities are being extra vigilant and everything possible is being done to keep Canadians safe.
He urges people to be alert, but says the country is basically safe and peaceful.
RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson says his force is working with other security forces around the world in monitoring threats.
Goodale says now is not the time for what he called “vigilante retaliation,” an apparent reference to a fire attack on an Ontario mosque and an assault against a veiled woman in Toronto.
Instead, he says, it’s a time for Canadians to stand together.

“France reaffirmed at the weekend that the summit would go ahead but Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on Monday France would limit parallel demonstrations, concerts and other events.
Decades of climate talks have spawned dozens of acronyms and jargon. “All want to be there”.
But the violent events of the weekend, claimed by Islamic State (ISIS) jihadists, have thrown into doubt a mass rally in central Paris planned for November 29, on the summit’s eve, and another on December 12, the day after the meeting is scheduled to close.”

    “France bars climate change marches
The French government has cancelled marches planned for international climate talks in Paris at the end of the month, citing security concerns.
All demonstrations organised in closed spaces or in places where security can easily be ensured could go ahead, foreign minister Laurent Fabius said in the statement.
“However, in order to avoid additional risks, the government has decided not to authorise climate marches planned in public places in Paris and other French cities on Nov 29 and Dec 12,” it said.
Environmental activists had hoped the marches would attract 200,000 people to put pressure on governments to cut greenhouse gas emissions. They have had to rethink their plans following attacks in Paris last Friday that killed 129 people. More than 2,000 protests in around 150 countries are planned during the talks.”

My comment is : ”Some people have the cooking channel, the history channel or the racing channel. We have the CBC. The ”lying channel.” More BS from the global warming addicts!” (End of Quote.)
I was shocked that the comment was not deleted. Then it dawned on me. This article is not hurting the Liberals or Trudeau. It’s hurting the NDP that have also been a target of the CBC for some time now.
