  1. He won’t even read it. Shiny Pony’s people are telling him that the refugees from camps are already UN vetted. I saw a useful idiot argue this point on one of Lorie Goldstien’s Twitter streams this morning. They just ignore that there is a cottage industry for forging identification documents over there.

  2. One of the things I have observed with our new Prime Minister is that he exhibits all the mannerisms of a spoiled brat. Not surprising when you consider his upbringing.
And spoiled brats rarely listen to others, even when those others offer sound advice.

  3. I heard that Hollande is talking about changing their constitution to allow stripping of French citizenship from dualies who can be shown to have islamist sympathies. Now why didn’t anyone in Canada think of that?
Oh yeah, we did, and now some jackass is going to revert back.

  4. From my reading on the internet, my understanding is the security checks on the migrants are token gestures, quick searches of the available data bases for a name match, that’s all they can do. A thorough interrogation, cross checking the results of such interrogation, should be fundamental but that’s impossible under Prime Minister Selfie Kardashian’s dictated deadline.

  5. The Tsarnaev boys were nine and fifteen, I believe, when they were admitted to the US as refugees. That turned out well, didn’t it………….
But Political Correctness will trump common sense every time.
    Enjoy the decline……

  6. So, if Mr. Trudeau is so hot-to-trot to bring 25,000 so-called Syrian refugees into Canada, why doesn’t he bring them, if they’re so vetted, into the same home where his wife and children are living?
Here’s your chance to walk your talk, Mr. Trudeau. As Prime Minister of Canada, why don’t you set an example for the rest of Canada, Mr. Trudeau?
    All 25,000.

  7. The sad truth in this 25k plan there is no way to stop a few malevolent creeps getting in. So what is the follow up process, that is an important part of vetting.
No the real thing, tell us who you are, what town you lived in, how many people in your family, got no ID, that’s too bad you’ll have to go to the next level, what do you think about ISIS, etcetera. Comply or the answer is no. Obviously this is impossible with 25k in less than two months.
Sorry, not the Canadian way? Sorry, unless you want attacks like we’ve seen almost everywhere else. It’s not because we think Syrians are terrorists, it’s because it’s standard operating procedure for ISIS to insert fighters into migrating refugees. This is way easier than repatriating a French terrorist, for example. Of course they would try. It’s dangerous naivety to think otherwise.
This is a hugely risky proposition to undertake at this time. Mr Wall is right. Trudeau would look good if he gave in on this issue, or at least agreed to slow down and take a good look, like he needs to do on all his promises.
The Premier of Saskatchewan just gave him his out. Will he take it?

  8. Vetting is by the UN, the same organization that oversees IPCC, the UN Human Rights Commission, the WHO, etc. I have zero faith in the UN to accomplish anything properly. I wouldn’t expect a self obsessed narcissist like Jr to listen to any sound advice, but there are 183 Liberal MPs who do have some power, whether they realize it or not.
Assuming he does fill his promise, who is to complain if the time frame extends to June, or the numbers are lessened a bit?
Only an inexperienced adolescent would make this a principle to go to the wall on. This is 2015, but Nov 16 2015, and conditions have changed.

  9. “But Political Correctness will trump common sense every time.”
hey. thats my line. LOL !!!
this is going to be real real real interesting.
if there is *any* fragment of good come out of this ghastly event, it is the FACT that the real world has come smashing thru the turdeau ‘safe space’ creating a sit’n where many many players all over the political spectrum are watching closely the response or non-response of the dauphin.
it will be telling one way or the other.

  10. Bloody muslims complaining about “backlash”. To effing bad I say. What do they expect. Typical soft jihad profiteering on the back of the hard jihad

  11. Trudeau has already doubled down on his plans to pull out of combat against ISIS. He will do so again with the refugees, and damn it, there had better not be one refugee less one minute after midnight on New Year’s or he’ll throw the mother of all tantrums!

  12. It takes 3 to 6 months for the RCMP to screen a Canadian citizen for a firearms PAL. (possession and acquisition). That’s for a CDN citizen with a lifetime of history in this country.

  13. For liberals… History starts every morning. Thats why there is no effort to engage in critical thinking.

  14. There has been no parliament called , yet all these decisions are announced from the PMO
The MSM would be screaming if all was done under Harper the dictator

  15. I think the line-up for the bathroom alone would be reason enough to shoot down this idea.
Here are the facts. Trudeau said he would bring in 25,000 refugees. He won the election. End of discussion. HOWEVER… it’s totally reasonable to argue that sticking with a strict schedule doesn’t make sense if it comes at the expense of security.

  16. No refugees should be allowed into Canada.
Except for people of the scientific caliber of Igor Sikorski, Enrico Fermi, Albert Einstein and Edwad Teller.

  17. “It takes 3 to 6 months for the RCMP to screen a Canadian citizen for a firearms PAL”
No it doesn’t. I received mine (with Restricted) in 28 days.

  18. *
“edward teach says… “It takes 3 to 6 months for the RCMP to screen a Canadian citizen for a firearms PAL”
No it doesn’t. I received mine (with Restricted) in 28 days.

    so eddie… 25,000 times 28 days = 70,000 days
that equals 191.78082191780821917808219178082 years until we have vetted the syrians as thoroughly as prospective canadian firearms owners.
    that sounds fair.

  19. Listening to the radio this morning and reading the comments here and on other sites over the weekend I get the distinct impression that a majority, MAJORITY, od Canadians do not agree with the present governments decision to continue on the path of importing Syrian refugees. That being the case perhaps we should be investigating the means of recalling MP’s who in light of reality are still clinging to the liberal mantra that we import these refugees because “there is strength in diversity”. There is NO strength in diversity, there is only strength in unity. Past generations of Canadians formed this country whether they were native born or first second or third generation immigrants they accepted what Canada had to offer without demanding change. The present influx of immigrants are demanding that Canada and Canadians conform and submit to their beliefs and the present government seems quite willing to submit in an effort to regain power. Canadians should open their eyes and realize that there is no room in the Canadian Parliament for elected officials that are so willing to sell the farm. Recall every last one of them that is in favour of importing any refugees after this weekend. Send the aid to countries that want to emulate our way of life and for the rest cease trade and erect embargos and eliminate immigration. Sounds harsh well we’ll only get one chance at correcting the situation that we now find ourselves in.

  20. I think all 25,000 of these refugees should be directed to every LIEberal ridding. I would be great to see 12,000 of these people in the Maritimes ( they voted 100% LIEberal) I wonder how 3,000 will survive north of the provinces … Yukon, NWT and Nunavut … and there are only about 27 LIEberal riddings in Western Canada … the rest – 10,000 – can go to Quebec and Ontario. This will solve a lot of problems.

  21. Let’s assume Trudeau, like a spoiled child having a temper tantrum, goes ahead and recklessly rushes in 25,000 Syrian refugees, and one or more of those “refugees” injures one or more Canadians, wouldn’t Trudeau have to resign?

  22. I don’t suspect that bathrooms will be an issue.
I presume you understand my point: If Mr. Trudeau is so willing to impose 25,000 so-called Syrian refugees (a vast majority of whom are young males like the murderers in Paris) on the people of Canada, then why doesn’t he demonstrate his Canadian kindness by taking in some of them himself IN HIS OWN HOME.

  23. I cannot tell you how safe I feel now that John McCallum AKA Johnny Walker Black and Ralph Goodale have our backs. I will sleep well tonight.

  24. Of course it’s impossible to properly investigate the background of anyone from a failed third world State, only an idiot would believe otherwise.
But apart from terrorists, what other unsavory types are going to flood the Country, rapists, thieves, pedophiles, garden variety crooks looking to organize criminal underworld gangs?
If Trudeau’s utopian plan, which I believe is in place mainly to pander to his 10 Muslim MP’s, succeeds,we are going to be flooded with thousands of unemployable young men with no means of support, and watching the “beautiful people” in downtown Toronto,Montreal, or Vancouver carry on will grow old with these guys pretty fast.
There IS one solution which a small percentage of every ethnic group that has immigrated here the past fifty years has chosen; crime. We should soon notice gang wars between new Muslim gangs and the gangs who already own “turf”,and aren’t going to be very happy with the “new kids on the block”.
I suppose it would be racist or Islamophobic to exhort our drug addicts to NOT buy their dope from Muslim gangs, but to continue buying from the Russians,East Indians,Vietnamese,Pakistani, Somalians,Chinese, or our own beloved Hell’s Angels.
If I left any ethnic group out, my sincere apologies.
But,apart from a few hundred jihadists, and a few hundred future members of organized crime gangs, and thousands permanently on welfare,I can’t see any down side to the New PM’s generosity.
    None.

  25. “I suppose it would be racist or Islamophobic to exhort our drug addicts to NOT buy their dope from Muslim gangs”
I think we need to find out who is buying all that ISIS oil and gas, after we bomb their oil fields and installations.
Worry about the drugs later and find out who is smuggling the AKs that weren’t supposed to be in France now!

  26. “or our own beloved Hell’s Angels.”
Usually the police regret cracking down on Hell’s Angels because it gives the business to Jamaicans and Somalians who are way more violent.

  27. Re: Syrian “””refugees”””…
    NONE IS TOO MANY
Brad Wall and Quebec City mayor Regis Labeaume are the only two politicians in this country denouncing Trudeau’s “””refugee””” treachery.
Rona Ambrose is weak and should be replaced by someone committed to protecting Canadians, not pandering to Islamists and their useful idiots.

  28. Had to laugh at the local Montreal radio host complaining about all the awful emails and texts he has been getting since the Friday attack. Typical Jewish Liberal who can’t give up on the joys of diversity and the mantra that all cultures are equal. We are obliged to take in these refugees because Canada slammed the door on Jewish refugees during WWII.
He said we can’t give up on refugees because one attacker had a Syrian passport since ISIS probably planted it to discredit all migrants.
No wonder he is getting nasty messages from listeners who according to him are just temporarily overcome by emotion, poor babies.

  29. What I’d like to see Brad ask for is that the same standard be applied to refugees as is applied to oil pipelines. If we have to have 100% assurance of safety on oil pipelines then we need 100% assurance of safety on refugees. But don’t expect the Shiny Pony to appreciate, let alone understand, the irony of his positions.

  30. Note how hardly anyone even mentions the good premier of Saskatchewan. Ignored already.
    Brad Wall
“Thank you for your invitation to the First Ministers’ Meeting on November 23rd in Ottawa. I look forward to this meeting ….”
So already a change from the previous regime. And he likes it.
Also, conducting political affairs in public like this is novel for those of us with short memories.
It will be interesting to see if Wall gets his intelligence briefing and if it satisfies him.
Although by offering to be “fully supportive of any delays” he seems to be offering a closed mind.
Germany has taken refugees amounting to 1/100th of its population.
Canada’s proposed selection from refugee camps would be 1/100th of our immigration total just this year or 1/1400th of our total population.
If Saskatchewan doesn’t want its proportional share of about 1000, Ontario could take it without really noticing. “I spill more than you ….etc”

  31. C’mon neo. Spend 5 bucks on a new calculator. Yer out by a factor of ten. It’s 700,000 days > 1917 years. But that’s assuming all apps going thru one person.
In eddie’s case, his took 28 days, but we don’t know how many were in the system, nor do we know how many people were doing the scrutinizing.
So this is all, in Spurwing’s words, poppycock!
What is abundantly clear is this is a stupid endeavor based on stupid politics which will result in massive FUBAR proportions!

  32. “Thank you for your invitation to the First Ministers’ Meeting on November 23rd in Ottawa. I look forward to this meeting ….”
So already a change from the previous regime. And he likes it.
    ……………..
So what? Wall is classy and gracious.
What did he usually say when invited to First Minister’s Meetings with Harper, “I fart in your general direction, your mother was a hamster and your father stank of elderberries.”?!
    I doubt it.

  33. I do hope PM Trudeau reads this, it’s well thought out, a bit soft in some parts, but Mr. Wall is a politician.

  34. // What did he usually say when invited to First Minister’s Meetings with Harper //
What First Ministers meetings would those be?

  35. Now the most number of Syrian refugee loaded buses will be headed to Regina. Libs like to push an insulting response deep at the noses of their dissenters. Mr. Wall undoubtably will be getting a whiff of Trudeau’s gratitude for the good advice soon.

  36. “So already a change from the previous regime. And he likes it.”
So Premier Wall has accepted the invitation and you immediately turn it into some more tedious anti-Harper spin.
Of course the Premier graciously replied to the invite. What was he supposed to say? Thanks, but no thanks because it is being hosted by an idiot and will therefore be a total waste of time? This would just give people of your ilk an excuse to pile on Wall using the well-worn adjectives, mean-spirited and divisive.
As Oz so aptly put it, “Wall is classy and gracious.” He will attend with Saskatchewan’s best interests in mind and refrain from the nauseating pandering and ass kissing that Trudeau lives for.

  37. “Now the most number of Syrian refugee loaded buses will be headed to Regina”
Specifically to the Regina-Wascana constituency. Lots of prime real estate in that area and infested with Liberal stalwarts. I’m confident that Bobblehead Ralph could convince his constituents that their new neighbours will fit in nicely. Gotta be inclusive ya know.

  38. Typical NDP. Take whatever makes sense and then do the exact opposite. We Albertans are screwed.

Premier Rachel Notley believes Alberta could take 2,500 to 3,000 Syrian refugees as part of the prime minister’s plan to bring 25,000 refugees to Canada by the end of the year.
“We need to do our part. We need to do it safely,” Notley said Monday. She made her statement just hours after Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall called on the federal government to suspend the plan because a small number of terrorists could take advantage of the settlement process and sneak into the country. Notley didn’t agree.
