You know, the real sad part is that the the anger and motivation to take action is going to dissipate very quickly. Most of the language we hear now was heard after the Charlie Hebdo and supermarket massacres in January of this year. What happened? Candlelight parades, piles of flowers at the massacre sites, angry talk about never again. Too many people hope that this is just going to go away, and that’s never going to work. These are the worst kind of vicious killers and ideologues. They need to be crushed without mercy. Does anyone think the liberal west is up for that? Marine LePen is being prosecuted for inciting racial hatred in France, for a speech she gave in 2010 comparing France’s no-go areas and streets blocked off by Muslims for prayer (in violation of French law) to the Nazi occupation during WWII. If convicted, she will be sentenced to a year in jail and fired 45,000 euros.
If France is allowed to have anything resembling a free election in 2017, Marine Le Pen will be its next president, and maybe some good will have come of this.
Then again, that’s a very big “if.”
We now know 9/11 was the work of the Saudis. It would never have happened at all had the Bush administration not been persuaded to look the other way till it was too late.
