I feel like it is September 10, 2001, and I know what is going to happen tomorrow and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
For what it’s worth…
Alert
While this is the first time since beginning of the world your correspondent went to the NDP/Liberal media support broadcaster website of my own, I was looking for a poll that I could intimidate. So I did.
If you have little time, here is something that you could help out with.
https://votecompass.cbc.ca/
It is a Compass poll on the CeeeBeeeCeee Calgary website, although it is probably on all of their websites across Canada.
The poll is developed by ”Vote Compass is an educational tool developed by political scientists designed to help you explore how you fit in Canada’s political landscape.”, no less.
Does not that put you in a serious admiration mode of the “experts” and make you feel as though you just don’t measure up?
Heh.
One would think that the second son of a shepherd in Burkina Faso could come up with something similar if it interested him, then again he would not be a political scientist designate.
Never mind.
Anyway, let them know what you think.
I’m not an SNL fan, to put it mildly, but Larry David’s cameo take on Bernie Sanders was great.
I feel like it’s game seven, and we’re going into overtime.
Fight.
Hmm, I wonder if Chuck Liddell is one of them:
“Ötzi the Iceman, a stunningly preserved mummy found in the Italian Alps in 1991, has living relatives in the region, new genetic analysis shows.
“The study, published in the journal Forensic Science International: Genetics, found that the 5,300-year-old mummy has at least 19 male relatives on his paternal side..”
h/t Instapundit
“According to Dick’s campaign manager Ailsa Pehi, police monitor the Masjid al Jisr mosque on a regular basis.”
This country is near suicide.
I feel like it’s Game 7 of the World Series. We have a one run lead in the bottom of the 9th. 2 out. Liberals on 2nd and 3rd. Trudeau at the plate. Harper on the mound. I am the catcher. Strike the fool out or rocket a fastball off his head? First base is open. I choose the latter.
Conservative rep hung a notice on our door when we were out: spouse looked at it and said “that’s not where we vote”. Have, for 30+ years, voted at the local school for EVERYTHING: federal, provincial, municipal. Not this year: moved several blocks east to a church. Wonder how many seniors (and we have a lot in our polling station) will turn up at the wrong place and not end up going to the right place to vote?
That’s a somber analogy Lickmuffin, but it ain’t over yet.
I will be up at 4:00 AM pounding in one last round of approximately 100 signs for my local candidate, as well as replacing those that the thieving NDP/Liberals keep stealing. Have already voted, and I am reminding everyone I know to vote.
Must be Nenshi’s mosque, or are gays allowed in mosques?
and the plate umpire is Moolcair……………..
According to them, I am somewhat to the right of Attila the Hun. Yavohl!!

Well this Conservative will be Colonel Bogeying to the polling station as a scrutineer (to keep the cheating lefties at bay) then staying well into the night until the last (West Coast) ballots are counted. I already voted at the advanced polls (and scrutineered there as well). Bonne chance. mes amis!
I voted in the Adv Poll last weekend, in the Esq/Sooke riding. I asked the rep at the front door, where the scrutineers were. He said there were none there, but, they would be there on voting day, though it was strange.
Shouldn’t there be scrutineers at ALL polls?
In other news, it appears that Commie Murray Rankin, Victoria, is in a dogfight with Greenie Joanne Roberts, she, late of Mother Corpse.
This riding (next door) is hopelessly tarded, and is next to Lizard May’s. The Lib candidate disqualified herself due to silly social media posts, and, was a Muslim apologist and anti-western idiot. CPC with no chance in a welfare/gubmint worker riding.
Anyone seen an asteroid? Would love to see Rankin fail, he’s an environmental lawyer with several screws loose. Giving Lizard a cellmate isn’t exactly a good thing either.
Save the panic attacks for the 20th, I intend to be royally entertained by watching the media parties mouthpieces doing choreographed meltdowns from coast to coast to coast.
But this election will change little, the take from my earning to benefit the greater good, is already too large.
The total of my time stolen by regulators and enforcement halfwits will never be recovered, nor be reduced.
My new career is tax avoidance.
I used to enjoy building and repairing things, but that is now a sin in Canada and taxed accordingly.
Remember the justification for taxing booze and cigarettes into the stratosphere?
Cause they are bad and Govt wishes to discourage such actives….. sort of like earning an honest income.
I am tired of being a mealticket for fools and bandits.
The compass poll was fun and the results….overall I’m to the right of the Conservative Party. I feel better about myself now.
Same here
While battling cold and flu for over a week, I have spent hours watching the testimonies of Muslims who have converted to Christianity and there wouldn’t be one of them who would be surprised to hear this.
It’s what they (Muslims) do.
What the converts would say is: be cautious, go about your business as usual, and they’d also say, “don’t be afraid”. They live with this 24/7.
Next up — Justin will be defending fatwa’s — Why not, since he is already quite defensive about the citizenship rights of terorists and seems to object to potential victims of honour killings having access to a help line.
In that case, I would call for a high fastball right over the plate, then pull my glove down.
Would that be mean-spirited and divisive?
Interesting story:

Some predictions for tomorrow.

Sweden is being threatened for welcoming refugees that are already biting the hands that are feeding them.

I’ve found that the best way to sooth the anxiety before tomorrow’s election is to pray to St. Bernadette, the patron saint of Conservative balanced budgets. Get it? St. Burn-A-Debt!! But my
NDP sister says I should should pray to St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes! I think she’s in for a surprise tomorrow!
Thanks for playing that song EBD!! It is inspirational!
Re: Polls:
Mainstreet has the Liberals at 38%, and the CPC at 33%. Remove the margin of error, and who knows??
Interesting to note that I was indeed polled by Mainstreet, first time in the 47 years that I’ve voted. They poll over 5000 individuals, and claim to the the most accurate!
Hedge your bets — pray to both.

Yes, so am I and most rational ethical people will be – I wonder what the pinks at CBC compass will make of my N0.1 election issue being to reinstate he death penalty for treason and terrorism.
I’m seeing Mainstreet predicting a Liberal majority.

Hopefully after the election tomorrow we are not singing “Somewhere my love, there will be songs to sing”

I see a lot of angry Conservatives at SDA tonight. Yours truly is not exactly serene at this hour either. However I do believe that, irregardless of the outcome tomorrow, we need to maintain our cool and think of a few years past.. It was the election of Jean Chretien, AKA the ”Sidetalker” that helped Reform, later on the Alliance and now the CPC rise to power. I recall going to Reform meetings in bars and cafes in SW Saskatchewan. Sometime were were five or six farmers sitting at a table talking about how we were getting the shaft from the Chretien administration. Even if Trudeau gets elected tomorrow, and the whole of the Liberal party is orgasmic over the victory, they’ll still have to deal with us the next day. Worst yet, it almost looks like they’ll also have to deal with Donald Trump.
I’m still hopeful for a victory. And bye the bye people, if I remain anonymous tonight, it’s simply because I said a ton of nasty comments on leftist sites today, to leftists blogs so I gotta be careful.
See you all tomorrow night. God Bless!

Politicians would never lie to us,
would they?
After the Wynne victory, the Notley victory and the probable slight Liberal majority I will give up on politics. Back to cultiver mon Jardin. Too bad winter is coming. Back to volunteer work and working on my Italian.
Meanwhile I will be picking up bingo cards at the polls all day after doing a lot of door to door during the campaign. Will be sending flowers to the family of my local candidate who after being elected three times and doing great work will probably be turned out so the riding can go with the winning party and get infrastructure money.
Happy Election Day.

` I will give up on politics` This is how I feel. I will give up on politics and stop reading the newspapers. If the Liberals get in, you know that the media will overlook all of the stuff that the Liberals do having pilloried Harper for the smallest transgression. One thing for sure, the Libs will not be giving any money back to the taxpayers. That was certainly a first. I hope Nigel sues to get his money back. If the payment was illegal, he should be reimbursed. I think we are headed from steady, careful governance to chaos and exploitation. Junior will not be the guy in charge, so who to blame? A sad state of affairs for a once great country.
Nah, just making sure the old goat in the ugly mask is paying attention! If he gets nailed, well, too bad. he’s in the field of play
AGW RIP.

“Coldest October 19th on record”
“The record low temperature for October 19th, of -6.7°C, set in 1940, was broken at 4:00 a.m., when the temperature at the Ottawa Airport was recorded at -6.8°C.
An hour later, even colder. It was -7.6°C at the airport at 5:00 a.m.”

Mr. Mem, you troll, are you really stupid enough to believe that story? How convenient that the alleged sign vandals were wearing Conservative jackets. And you do know that most cities have by-laws that make it illegal to put signs on public property. So the Liberal and NDP candidates were already breaking the law.
Never heard this Ontario Died song before, it was brilliant and absolutely right. The singer also has a great voice. I fear she will be writing a similar ode to the death of Canada soon.
In case you missed it:
“The Church’s mission is to save souls. Evil, in this world, comes from sin. Not from income disparity or “climate change”. The solution is: Evangelization. Conversion.
Not an ever increasing government control. Not a world government. These are nowadays the main agents imposing cultural Marxism to our nations, under the form of population control, reproductive health, gay rights, gender education, and so on.
What the world needs nowadays is not limitation of freedom, but real freedom, liberation from sin. Salvation.
Our Church was suppressed by the soviet occupation. But none of our 12 bishops betrayed their communion with the Holy Father. Our Church survived thanks to our bishops’ determination and example in resisting prisons and terror.
Our bishops asked the community not to follow the world. Not to cooperate with the communists.
Now we need Rome to tell the world: “Repent of your sins and turn to God for the Kingdom of Heaven is near”.”

Here’s a couple links for you to use against looney lefties that claim health care funding has been cut and we’re still in a recession:
http://www.fin.gc.ca/fedprov/mtp-eng.asp
Health care federal transfer has increased from $20 billion to $34 billion in 10 years
http://www.statcan.gc.ca/daily-quotidien/150930/cg-a001-eng.htm
Canada has had really good growth in the past two reported months, so much so we’ve fully recovered from the recession.
Just got robocalled by the liberal candidate for the wrong damn riding.

I’m so paranoid I am going to the movies tonight instead of watching the results. I’ve gotten tired of asking those afflicted with HDS (Harper Derangement Syndrome) just why the feel the need to “Stop Harper”.
