  1. Oh the hypocracy of these wanks whining all the time doing stupid ads for Greenpeace or Sierra Club against the petrolium induestry while travling all over the globe in their private jets or being chuafir next big Save the arth/Stop Climate Change in their gas guzzling 11 MPG limos their hyppocracy stands our like a sore theumb

  2. I’m sure a committed environmentalist like Neil will be donating the proceeds of the sale to Sierra Defense or donating it to Alberta Indian bands so they can use it to protect their environment.

  3. I just wonder why he owns a house in Hawaii. He lives in California so it can’t be to escape the harsh winters.

  4. Please cut dear Neil some slack. It is well known that he paddles to Hawaii from his home in L.A. since he is fully aware that his private jet uses oil based products.
Last time he paddled to Hawaii it took him three months and he sang all the way.

  5. Thankfully never spent a dime buying this miserable old coots’s depressing tunes. His hypocrisy at least surpasses his talents.

  6. I notice the estate is pretty close to sea level. You would think he would have bought the thing several hundred feet higher. No doubt the listing of the property mentions prominently of the “absolute certainty” that within only a few short years, the estate will be under water?
I always get a kick out of the U.N. and other climate change fraud artists that beak off about rising sea levels yet the U.N. itself has spent billions on upgrading their headquarters in New York City even though if we believed for one second the swill that comes out of James Hansen the place will be soon under water.

  7. Climate Change and the Little People are trashing California. Jerry Brown’s “Y’all come!” is driving the elite away.

  8. “Thankfully never spent a dime buying this miserable old coots’s depressing tunes. His hypocrisy at least surpasses his talents.”
Plus, he sings like a girl.

  9. The hypocrisy is worse than just owning it – he’s prepared to sell it to some unsuspecting dweeb who doesn’t know the seas will rise, soon, and swallow it up. If he had any real Stones (see what I did there?, he’d bulldoze the place and return it to the nature he’s so sure is going to take it anyway, rather than inflict on some poor knob the pain of Global Warming.

  10. Didn’t you know? Neil takes a rowboat back and forth from LA to the big island. Clears the head after a bad LSD trip.

  11. Frankly his music makes me want to puke too. He’s just another rich junkie swine, and a self-righteous hypocritical 1-percenter dickhead to boot. Michael Moore’s skinny brother for all intents and purposes. Go die in a hole, Neil!

  12. What a dump.

I tell you one thing, if I was his county I’d be seriously looking at re-assessing this property. He’s paying $54,000 a year in taxes, but that’s based on an assessment of only $5.87 million – he’s got it listed at four times that amount.
If the market value is $24.5 million that’s what the property should be assessed at – and his taxes would be about $220,000 per year. Typical concerned lefty – content to pass on his tax burdens to others.

  13. What? Why would he sell this home, when Obama will be moving to Hawaii when he leaves office?
I guess Neil is a racist, besides a hypocrite. #ThereGoesTheNeighborhood

  14. The comments to the CBC article are sickening. The vast majority would see the oil sands shut down, and no doubt other oil and gas extraction also stopped, and thereby shut down the economic engine that provides their lifestyle. They would all look good clawing through the refuse dumps looking for scraps of food.

  15. Look at all the Rainforest wood used in the DECK, of all things.
I can hear the orangutans crying over their missing homes…. sob.
No actually, thats the sound of Elizabeth May… picking her teeth with a poplar.

  16. Maybe the whiny old bastard really does believe the shit about the sea levels rising,it’s all part of the lie the dopes are swallowing. He wants to shift it before it’s an undersea playhouse for marine life.

  17. No room for a septic tank and Feld in that location
Would dump the leftie poos directly to the ocean like Victoria. Or Amsterdam , first the river then the ocean 30 minutes later

  18. Don’t get the wrong idea about some of the rock stars and other heathens that own such places. Many years ago, I walked into a well known restaurant in SW Saskatchewan, along the Canada-USA border. The place was packed, a good looking lady was sitting alone at a table, she invited me to sit with her. She was from Montana, her son was at a hockey tournament in a nearby town.
She was a county clerk; she informed me of many similar places such as the one in the photo, ranch homes, farms etc. owned by famous people where taxes hadn’t been paid and where the county was forced to take action, often with no avail because those ” notable entertainers” didn’t respond to letters, notices etc.
I don’t know much about Neil Young. But I do know that when someone owns more than three homes, the carbon footprint they leave behind is much larger than what Dr. Suzuki and the Suzukian Cult report on CBC. Ca.

I don’t know much about Neil Young. But I do know that when someone owns three homes, a private jet, a bus and three cars, the carbon footprint they leave behind is considerably larger than what our 1500 square foot bungalows or our Hyundai Elantras leaves behind.
