  4. During WWII, U-Boat crews who were out in the North Sea often turned their radios to French, British and other stations to listen to music. Other times they played the songs on the U-Boat’s 78 RPM record player. This WWII collector has made an interesting video by playing one of many WWII songs, ”J’attendrai” by Rina Ketty, an Italian singer (who also performed in French) on an original Kriegsmarine turntable. If any of you are familiar with the well know 1980’s movie ”Das Boot” you will recall the song, and the scene.

  15. You are confusing Islam with Muslims.
    There are many and in Canada, most who are secular or liberal Muslims, who reject Islamic Jihad and Sharia Law.
    The Islamic supremacists aren’t going to 24 Sussex Drive. The largest Islamist organization in Canada is the Muslim Brotherhood, with multiple front groups. It criticizes P.M. Harper’s support of Israel and even that a Canadian Rabbi was included in a trip to Israel.
    It threatened to sue the Prime Minister’s Office. This when the PMO noted a group that had been shut down for raising money for designated terrorist group Hamas had been shut down by Revenue Canada.
    Of course, no lawsuit ensued.
    Of all the Western governments, Canada’s is most aware of Islamist supremacism.
    The liberal, secular Muslims here are very much at risk from the supremacists, the Islamists.
    Conservative Senator Salma Ataullahjan, a secular Muslim, would be among them, as would Tarek Fatah and Prof. Salim Mansur. All of whom, are valuable in their advice in identifying the dangers of the Islamists.
    Keep studying the issue. It’s more complex than the MSM will ever acknowledge.
