When tonight’s video was first posted on YouTube, Larvik Håndballklubb, a women’s handball team from the Norwegian city of Larvik, hadn’t lost a match in over eleven years. Tonight, we see how they handle the far more challenging game of Electroshock Handball.

  1. When it comes to Bill Nye and his credibility, there is something I have been thinking about for years…and it only recently occurred to me that this may not be common knowledge. If it has been mentioned before and is something that everyone has already seen, then forgive me for being late to the party. But, here goes…
    Those of us who grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s in BC had the station KING 5 (Seattle) as the NBC affiliate in our cable packages. On Saturday nights (immediately preceding SNL), there was a local low-budget version of SNL called “Almost Live.” Bill Nye was one of the 2 or 3 top cast members. This is how I grew up knowing Bill Nye…

    It was on that same show that the character “Bill Nye the Science Guy” was born. Except that, unlike the PBS incarnation, he basically did “experiments” that teenage pot-heads would call “cool”…

    Anyway, remembering him as I and my childhood friends do makes it difficult to believe that anyone takes him seriously in any scientific field today.

  7. After years of coverage by the media of the Khadr story, did you know that Christopher Speer took ten agonizing days to die from the grenade wounds according to his widow.

    I was going to post this article, thanks!!
    I don’t like the idea of a ”paid for by taxpayers” CBC network poking fun at terrorism, and at our government for honoring what was indeed the result of an international agreement between the USA and Canada. Only the CBC would allow themselves to sink this low.
    As for some of the photos that are being posted on the CBC story–along with Khadr’s testimony as to what happened, it is clearly stated in the article that his recollections of the events are not clear. Question: If Khadr’s recollections are not accurate–then why publish them??
    Another ”Hate Harper” rhetoric by the CBC!

    I just watched the piece and was revolted. CBC, the Star and Whitepines Pictures – a tri-fecta of left wing propagandists all cheerleading for wee Omar. I note that he doesn’t take issue with what his dear mother and darling sister had to say, just that they shouldn’t give public voice to their beliefs.
    Scumbags one and all. Including his scumbag lawyer.

  16. Does his family have Pakistani citizenship? If so, then revoke their Canadian citizenship.

  17. There must be plenty of grounds to revoke Canadian citizenship of the Khadr Klan including those born here. Canada was used as a birthing place, a safe haven from which they could travel freely back to Pakistan or whatever ME hell hole of choice to train and fight against this country and it’s allies. If that’s not treason, there is no such thing and the value of our citizenship is degraded.
    Will his lawyer now be launching a multimillion dollar lawsuit on his behalf against this country?
