  3. A rather misleading story. It says they are not allowed to shoot each other with water pistols or water balloons. It doesn’t say they can’t play with them to shoot at targets. The problem with Boy Scouts, Girl Guides etc is that the moment a parent doesn’t like the idea of having them shoot at each other with whatever, (projectiles) the story ends up in the media, warped, and guess who suffers??
    Sad, but that’s the reality of it all!

  5. The pussification of the western male is the beginning of the end I’m afraid. The Marlboro man has been neutered into something unrecognizable. Prior to the advent of the whimpy, everyone gets a turn, Sesame Street generation, who would have thought the rugged cowboy would morph into the man-boy sissies we’re graced with today? Anyone Currently raising a young male would be well advised to make sure junior knows how to hunt, fish and defend himself. When the western world hits the wall (yes, when not if), these skills will be the only things that will ensure his survival….or at least it will produce someone willing to not go down without a fight.

  6. The entire point of having water pistols and water balloons is to use them to get another person wet, all in the name of fun of course. There is no other reason for the existence of such toys. None.

  7. Well thank God that the threat of water pistols has been banished. However, I fear when last we were at Cubs, boys were using sticks to shoot balls at nets.
    There is work to be done. Little boys are having fun. Enough said.

  13. “de-wilding” young males is all part of the subjugation and pacification of the populations of former free constitutional democracies – it is a necessity for the political elite and power structure, who desire authoritarian statism (big government) to do this as they incrementally INVERT the power flow in the political system – from delegation of power from the people to the bureaucrats to unilateral exercise of power from the bureaucrats to the people – from representative democracy or republic to authoritarian kleptocracy or crony-oligarchy. It is a final stage in the cycle of freedom to tyranny and it has been repeated endlessly since mankind crawled out of the primordial ooze and allowed a leader-class to exist.
    Elector-controlled democracy is in decline globally and more authoritarian forms of government are in ascension. Our liberal democracies have gone from government formed to carry out the wishes and popular will of the electorate to government (political power structure) as our master existing for its own sake with a prime agenda to expand its influence over our lives and devise system continuity.
    When/if the populace wake up to the encroaching authoritarian police state (which is mandated by most UN treaties and agenda 21) the hope is that the generational conditioning of the population to be docile, servile, deprived of self interest/worth and repulsed by the thought of self defense(or defense of freedom) will be primary to controlling a large population.
    Conditioning children in the concept of fearing the tools of self defense and to despise ethical defensive violence and to believe there is nothing worth killing or dying for (particularly freedom) is an open display of the pacification conditioning process. In a free liberal constitutional democracy those who are not prepared to defend the system and its freedoms will certainly lose them – and we have lost a lot of freedom already due to apathy.

    Eff the Scouts. Men – take your sons camping. Take their friends too. Try paintball and all the other cool stuff the Scouts won’t. They’ll have a ball, so will you … And you won’t have to worry about offending queers, pedos, Non-Rotarians or other liberal turd brains

  17. As a Canadian scouter, I can happily report that my Scouts and Venturers (older Scouts) look forward to an annual ritual wherein they have “elastic band wars” in the hall at winter camp. They have to wear safety glasses, but otherwise it is jungle rules. They are allowed to use elastic band guns, and slingshots with crumpled up pieces of aluminum foil as ammo. A few bruises afterward, but they would go all night if you let them. Interestingly the girls in the group are some of the roughest, storming whatever tipped-over tables the enemy is hiding under to shoot them at point blank range.
    We have gone from .22 rifles (when I was a kid) to pellet guns due to firearms laws, but otherwise safe gun (and bow) handling also remains a staple in our program.
    And if any of my Scouts ever made a ping pong ball sized water balloon, I would gently kick them in the rear end and teach them how to make one properly.

  18. That is exactly what is happening. There is a deliberate attempt to erase gender differences. The family unit is being destroyed by feminism and a gay activist agenda. Kids are being brainwashed in schools, and now with things like all day kindergarten they get them at an even earlier age. Agenda 21 is part of it. The whole thing is very well planned. I fear there is not much we can do at this point as people are so easily manipulated.

  22. My daughter, only a few years ago, learned how to shoot a pistol at a higher level of scouts. Only because some gun owner volunteered.

  25. To my knowledge, there are no boy scouts in Canada. It’s now Scouts Canada, and both boys and girls can join. The “Scouts” are now so pussified I barred my son from that organization.
    Of course the Girls still have their Girl Guides.

    The Morlocks were living under ground and had started out as tradesmen, soldiers etc.
    On the surface the educated social justice warrior types who couldn’t build a fire or swim or nearly anything physical resemble kids these days.
    My point is that the book is quickly becoming very relevant today.

  29. Again as a Scout leader, I get my hackles up whenever someone mentions Cadets.
    The government should get out of youth programming; like so many other enterprises, they do an inferior job at best.
    More importantly, Scouts is an organisation primarily run by volunteers like me. The fact that I have to pay taxes to support Cadets, who then turn around and compete with my organisation for members, is wrong. It bugs me a lot, and if you are a taxpayer, it should bug you too.

  31. My guess is you would not go up to a group of 17 year old cadets and say that they are inferior to scouts. It’s very easy to be a tough guy on a blog comments section.
