  1. If we could harness all the Hot Air then Al Gore Robert Kennedy Jr,David Suzuki and those idiots from GREENPEACE would be very useful

  2. So I need a sweater this summer?

  3. Wanna get rich?
Go long on Long John futures.
    And wool socks & toques.
    And studded snow tires.
    And snow blowers.

  4. Well obviously we need to have a global sun tax on the “rich” in order to solve the problem – I mean, that has worked so well for every other problem so it must be the thing to do.

  5. A question for everyone:
Since climate hysteria is driven by the worry of high concentration levels of CO2 in our atmosphere, what is the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere today ?? What was the it a hundred years ago ??

  6. I’m not a well-schooled climate guy.
But I did recently ask a climate change non-denier why there’s no discussion about that big HOT yellow ball in the CCC (climate change community).
My provisional answer was that the BYB (big yellow ball) could not be blamed because any announced policy to control the activity of the BYB would be mercilessly laughed off the world stage.
But as you can see I can do acronyms as well as the next guy.
Kate, that’s delicious: We’ll have the Co2 to keep us warm.

  7. Simple math….
    380ppm = .00038% (380/1000000)
They quote ppm cause it sounds bigger.

  8. I like the BYB explanation myself.
    BUT.
Over on WUWT you will find Dr. Leif Svalgaard who claims that the sun is well studied, that it does vary but that the variation is too small to account for AGW and other changes the BYB crowd would like to blame it for. (This is my interpretation – not his words.)
So, if it is the BYB why don’t we have facts to support that ? It should be obvious right ?

  9. sasquatch – yes and yes. You nailed it squared.
Whenever I point out the 0.04% to others most are absolutely astonished.
Something about doubling nothing is still nothing. How can that little cause a climate calamity? Never has in the past when it was 10 times the conc.
Climate alarmism is religion, pure and simple so treat the climate alarmists accordingly.

  10. Current co2 level is about 401.52 ppm. Having said that, the increase in CO2 since about 1850 is about 31/2 molecules to 4.01 molecules for every million. You must have noticed that it is so much warmer since the Little Ice Age?/sarc

  11. I once stacked 10,000 pennies (20x20x25 high) in order to illustrate
just what 3-1/2 out of 10,000 looks like. The trick was keeping my
cat from destroying my work. I solved this by covering it with a
drawer every time I took a break from the project.
With 3-1/2 cents in the foreground, I took some high res images of
the project to show how small a percentage CO2 was in relationship
to the other elements in the atmosphere. Any honest scientist will
admit that even at higher levels, this piss in a bucket is what was
    once called trace levels!
At 401PPM, it is like ringing the dinner bell for flora. We can look
forward to seeing explosive growth in plant life.
