  1. A planned screening of the film American Sniper on the University of Maryland campus has been been canceled after outcry from Muslim students.

  2. Climate change junk science for non science types:
I am a climate skeptic who believes in global warming

Was that wrong? Totally corrupting the surface temperature record? Doesn’t that mean we can’t be sure of anything so better take the “precautionary” approach? No? Hey we don’t like Pielke, so he’s out, right? Oh well the media will keep this quiet like they always do. What headline? Search warrant?

I know. One can dream; Madoff’s a minor leaguer compared to these shisters.

  3. That’s a very powerful message. Nothing that the progressives wouldn’t sneer at though and nothing that professors would understand.

  4. Bill Blair to run for federal Lieberals in Toronto – right alongside our girl Evie. You the man JT…just keep appointing candidates that your hair(brain) tells you are da bomb.

  5. While the waltzing matilda song is a good song and can produce tears in the toughest crowd remember that it was written in 1971 at the height of the antiwar protests against American military involvement in SE Asia. Wiki says:
‘The song describes war as futile and gruesome, while criticising those who seek to glorify it’ Wiki also explains that some of the history mentioned is not quite correct.
I hasten to add the song uses irony to maximum affect but sometimes war is a neccessary evil.
All the anti-war songs in the world are unable to prevent war when every other option has been exhauasted.

  6. This lowlife is once again back in the news…. (AGW fraud is his new game)….watch out
I wouldn’t buy anything he is selling…He is the liar that keep jumping up, the sky is falling, every time Obama was losing in 2008.. The Bush… Sec of treasury from hell

  7. Speaking of JT.
Does anyone remember his pledge to do politics different?
He told us that he was putting a pro-active disclosure policy into effect that would show Canadians how his MPs spent their money.
I just took a look at the travel expenses of about 20 random MPs and JT. The numbers are for the first 3/4 of the fiscal year 2014-2015. All look reasonable(at first glance)but one.
JT’s pro-active disclosure on liberal.ca has $15,209.97 listed for ‘special travel’ that was expensed for the first 3 months of the fiscal year. There is nothing up for the next 6 months.
On the parliamentary website, which is the one that counts, he has $243.86 listed for the 9 month period and nothing else. The one expense listed is for employee travel.
Mr. ‘open and transparent’ is anything but. His pro-active disclosure scheme is a farce.

    Will the media notice ?
The boy needs to be audited very soon. His travel expenses have to be compared to the time and place of Liberal fundraisers.

  8. Nold: a moot point for sure but ‘Waltzing Matilda’ was not written in 1971, the song ‘The band played Waltzing Matilda’ was. The original to which the 1971 song refers was penned in the late 1800’s.
I think Stomping Tom used to sing it.

  9. You mean these two are going head to head in a nomination process for the same riding? I’ll buy tickets for that one.

  11. Why is Hillary not gaining traction with the media?
Because after they spent the last few years under the threat of being called a racist, threatened with being called a male chauvanist just doesn’t have the same effect.

  12. Something tells me that Quebec is about to get a whole bunch of new infrastructure.
    Canada pop=35.7 million.
    Quebec pop=8.2 million
So Quebec’s fair share should be 22%.
Less Business, Political, Bureaucratic and Mafia fees, and it should be a wash.
    Thank you Canada.
    A la prochaine.

  13. The best version of the song ”And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda” is the one by our own John McDermott. (My opinion.)

I heard him at the Saskatoon Centennial Auditorium many years ago. I remember a young lad of about 25 years of age, a U of S student, sitting beside me with his girlfriend. I also remember how sad I was when I realized that millions of boys his age never had the pleasure of hearing such a performance, simply because they had died in a trench, so that I could enjoy it instead. And that’s what life is all about–learning from the past.

  14. I agree with you Anselm. Quebeckers have not forgotten Trudeau and his spoilt brat of a do-nothing son won’t get their vote.

The Yazidis were the ones trapped by ISIL on the mountain. Justin thought it would be better to send them scarves and mitts than bomb the ones that had them trapped.
His ‘star’ candidate, retired Gen Leslie, feared that if we didn’t send them ‘humanitarian’ aid, these people may become radicalized and threaten Canada. I think that they would have other targets.

  16. @Oz: Every country in the entire WORLD should adopt it….. but it will never happen in Canada or the U.S.

“Top scientists start to examine fiddled global warming figures”
“Last month, we are told, the world enjoyed “its hottest March since records began in 1880”. This year, according to “US government scientists”, already bids to outrank 2014 as “the hottest ever”. The figures from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) were based, like all the other three official surface temperature records on which the world’s scientists and politicians rely, on data compiled from a network of weather stations by NOAA’s Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN).
But here there is a puzzle. These temperature records are not the only ones with official status. The other two, Remote Sensing Systems (RSS) and the University of Alabama (UAH), are based on a quite different method of measuring temperature data, by satellites. And these, as they have increasingly done in recent years, give a strikingly different picture. Neither shows last month as anything like the hottest March on record, any more than they showed 2014 as “the hottest year ever”.

“Saskatoon received 30 centimeters (12 inches) of snow, the most of any region between Outlook and Melfort that saw snow over the weekend. The previous records for April 25 and 26 were 9.4 centimeters in 1954 and 7.6 centimeters in 1945 respectively.”
