  1. ‘Feminism: the conviction that out of 150 million American women only this asshole is fit to be president’
    Paglia

  2. I’ve always liked her – a straight-up broad, pulls no punches. Well worth watching the whole thing.

  3. She is more than complicated: Skeptic of global warming but votes Green because it reminds her of the 60/70s
I think I agree with most of her observations, to bad I am not a Lesbian.
The Hillary “nudge” is not unlike classical Greek theater.

  4. Paglia voted for Obama in ’08, then the Green candidate in’12.
Paglia thinks the epitome of human consciousness was in the 1960s.
I got that from watching the hour long version of the same interview.

  5. Paglia …. really????. Why would I believe anything she says about anything. Just because you like the icing on the cake doesn’t mean you will like the crap under it. Another elitist attention seeker…..

  6. Well David, sometimes when you look close, your pan holds the odd nugget mixed in with all the worthless crap.

  7. Paglia is not as much a “feminist” per se as she is a classic Liberal, applying the concepts of Locke and Von Mises to gender equity – equity based in merit. She is completely correct in stating that much of what we see and hear in MSM are “professional feminists” – essentially Marxists pimping some collectivist agenda under a gender banner.

  8. You don’t have to agree with Ms Paglia. However, she has her opinions, agree with them or not, and she has evidence, not some radical theory, to support her opinions. She is also fearless.

  9. I may not agree with everything she says, but her assessment of Bill and Hillary is certainly right on the money. If Hillary is the best the USA can come up with for 2016, then you just know it’s all finished. Truly the last nail in the coffin.

  10. So finally a feminist speaks openly about the Clinton’s, and the MSM, saying what the right has been saying all along.
    This won’t go far.
She is hard to watch/listen to.

  11. Rest easy peterj. Hillary will never be president of the United States. She has WAY, WAY too much baggage accumulated over the years. Paglia makes reference to only a tiny (and largely irrelevant) part of it. AND, besides all that baggage, she’s old. AND she looks OLD. And no one is going to see her without remembering their grandmother driving the car 25 mph on the freeway and thinking “my grandmother would not make a good President”. President Hillary??? Just not going to happen! I actually don’t even think she’ll be a candidate though that’s somewhat less certain. (Crazy shit and Democrats go together).
I’ve been saying this for nearly a year now …… why oh why won’t you believe me (he said in a pleading voice).

  12. Flunked the DC bar exam?? Both Obamas lost their Illinois bar memberships. Note that resigning from the bar usually ends disciplinary proceedings. In other words they got caught. Were they to ever reapply to the bar, I assume the disciplinary hearings would continue and they would then be disbarred.

  13. You MIGHT be right,I hope you are, but the voters haven’t given us much confidence in their ability to logically consider the candidates.
IF the Republicans flay each other on live television again, and end up with a Jeb Bush/Ted Cruz ticket, expect voters to suck it up and vote for their Grandmother.
btw,the U.S. recently elected their first black president, when is America going to throw off it’s racist trappings and elect a Muslim President?
    Oh,right. Never mind.

  14. She won’t admit, (to herself, I mean), that she’s a libertarian right winger. I don’t believe this is Terror Of Career Suicide thing because I don’t think she’s the type.
She is genuinely brilliant. If you’re not enthused about her going on about Madonna from the early ’90s, which admittedly is a specialized taste, at least check out Sexual Personae.
I once suggested to Phantom that he read it. He said he’s never read a book with “Sexual” anything in the title and isn’t about to start.

  15. Having a Christian understanding of the world helps one realize that no matter how perfect a society or culture or philosophy we humans build within its very foundations we plant the seeds of its own destruction. We Christians call it ‘sin nature’. For we see but through a glass darkly the things that we want or think we need yet even as we strive toward that goal we are defeated by our own hubris and foolishness. No where is that more evident than in the idea that the genders are equal and therefore interchangeable.

  16. Have always liked Paglia, because despite being a lesbian and a feminist, she was one of the first to say that Christian ministers have every right to be opposed to feminism, especially in its radical sense, and especially in its absolute disagreement with abortion. (Well, some Christian sects anyways).

  17. From what I have read of both Obama and Michelle, they were given the mandatory 3 years in which to pass their bar exams in Illinois, while both were employed at different corporate law firms. It is my understanding both in Canada and in the United States, that you are allowed 2 fails but not a third fail for bar exams. When neither one could pass, they were both quietly let go from their respective firms. If my understanding is wrong(either about the history of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s law careers OR about the 3 fails and you’re out)I would very much appreciate being corrected by any practicing lawyer in either Canada or the United States. Thank you.

  18. Me thinks she may be bitter about picking/sharing a bone with Hillary. Yes Hillary is a liar! about what we may ask?

  19. I have always liked her because, although a hippy lefty, she maintained the hippy libertarianism of the sexual liberation. She has had to fight alone against the Stalinist feminists.

  20. But she remains a feminist lesbian. The best she gets from me when the revolution comes is head-first into the wood chipper.

  21. and we would need an extra large opening in that wood chipper for you????
or have you been over dosing on squats?
as to Paglia, who the hell call listen to a 1 hour U-tube, dyslexia, ADD and all that schit

  22. The “disparity of power” indeed. Lewinsky herself is a shining example of classicist liberal dysfunction and Gaglia would have no such concerns for a Kennedy girl. She is as big a fraud as Hillary.

  23. What does that even mean? By “Kennedy girl” I assume you’re referring to a Kennedy victim, e.g. Mary Jo Kopechne. What are your grounds for saying that Paglia would “have no such concerns for” a woman like that? Are you remotely familiar with Paglia’s work, her erudition, her opinions?
She may call herself a feminist, but most self identified academic feminists have loathed her for over two decades. She is no coward, and she may occasionally be foolish but she’s no fraud either.
