  7. Woodstock Ontario is home to two or three COYOTES, ( YES COYOTES) seen before dawn this morning on the CEDAR DOWNS Golf course, behind our home, searching for food.
    I understand our newly elected Mayor BIRTCH and greenhorn councillors have thier heads up their assess in regard to keeping our taxes in check, too busy worrying about harmless COYOTES WITHIN IN WOODSTOCK, ONTARIO!

  9. Yale University anti-fossil fuel campaigners have indefinitely postponed a protest that was set for this weekend due to “unfavorable weather conditions.

  11. The Obama administration is proposing a federal takeover of the internet. The details are murky since the administration’s proposed regulations weigh in at over 300 pages,
    but the idea is for the federal government to assert comprehensive regulatory control over the internet, as though it were a utility.
    It will be wonderful,
    just like Obamacare.
    But still I wonder if I will be able to visit my favorite blogs, like SDA, Drudge, Climate Change Sucks, Australian Vietnam Vets etc..
    I sure hope so, but I think resident Obama will let us keep our doctors, uh, ur, Blogs…

  13. Standing in line today, I couldn’t help but notice how many fellows were paying the male privilege tax at the florist. Two dozen long stems set me back $88.oo! (But in fairness, my love bought me a bottle of Bruichladdich –which I suppose is me oppressing her somehow).

  17. I opened my e-mails today to find a letter from Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau. I thought maybe she was going to chastise me for occasionally posting comments about her hesitant attitude towards vaccines, or maybe how her hubby flips young Hadrien around like a gob-smacked turkey. But no.
    Sophie opens her letter with this line, ” Last year, a birth doula who is a good friend shared a touching story.”
    Then it goes on and on about how great Canada could be if I just gave a few dollars to the Liberals. Sophie is now shilling for the party.
    Nothing screams “I’m an elite flake” quite like mentioning ‘birth doulas’ when asking for money. My spell check even rejects the word. BTW, a birth doula is a person that talks a woman through a difficult pregnancy. Every middle class mom-to-be should have access to one.
    What is next? Maybe a picture of the older kids holding last year’s I-pad and a solitary tear running down their cheek?

  18. I just received a response to my email to our new Republican Senator, Steve Daines, saying he will fight Obama’s internet plan. Daines is on the Senate Commerce Committee, and he says they are working on legislation to prevent the takeover. Daines also said:
    –While, I support a free and open internet, I oppose this FCC order to take over regulatory control of the Internet because it would stifle innovation and job creation. As I pointed out in a Senate Commerce Committee hearing, in the mid 2000s Europe was the world leader with 3G wireless service. This came to a halt when they began to regulate wireless services similar to how it would be regulated under the FCC proposal. Today, the United States is the driving force and world leader in 4G/LTE service and Europe is miles behind, stuck in regulatory hoops instead of fostering innovation. This proposed FCC action is the first step in freezing the advancement of future technology.–

  21. As I mentioned in a post regarding the demise of SUN News there would be so-called journalists eager to dance on the coffin of democracy. Heather Mallice has just started and I wonder who will join the chorus line next. It seems that, and I hate to say it here, Warren Kinsella has more class than writers at the Star.
