New York Times: Infidels murdered, Muslims hardest hit.

CTV … promising “peace in our time”.
I’m confused – what about these killings deserves the quotes around the word barbaric? CTV is guilty of that multiple times in the last 12 hours
Will these fools ever point out the targets were employees of a LEFT WING publication? That gays and feminists could be next? That this provides a horribly apt example that it’s not just a war between Muslims and Christians?
I didn’t think so.
I don’t see how how any of the terrorists are any less muslim or how they’re seen as fanatical.
Maybe they’re simply more devout, they read from the same texts as all muslims do, they’re just following it to the letter, and devoutly.
Drained Brain:
If I read a magazine and I’m outraged at what is written in it’s pages, I’m the one who makes the active decision to become outraged. If it’s any other way, and I can’t control my reaction, then I’m delusional.
I learned that in Grade 12 psychology, in or about 1967. And trust me when I tell you that I don’t always practice what I preach, but I do make an effort.
Maybe some people need to get out of the mosque, and into Psychology 101.

The CBC headline is “Charlie Hebdo has controversial history of offending radical Islam”
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/charlie-hebdo-has-controversial-history-of-offending-radical-islam-1.2892171
Pretty well the same thing, they brought it upon themselves.
The CBC allowed comments on the story for 4 hours before closing them. Apparently, free speech was upsetting their agenda, and they couldn’t very kill everyone that commented, so they shut them up.
That is our CBC. A billion dollars a year doesn’t get you much.
~((:–(>>>
I fall down,I go boom.
“The (Ever-Growing) List Of Cowards Refusing To Publish The Mohammad Cartoons” You sure they’re cowards and not simply playing for the other side?
The by-line to the above story is;
” French satirical newspaper has been firebombed, hacked and sued for its attacks on Muslims ”
ATTACKS, they really use that word. Shame on them.
Anyways the article that had comments closed after 4 hours is another at CBC.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/charlie-hebdo-paris-shooting-man-linked-to-attacks-turns-himself-in-1.2892151
The CBC is changing the headline and updating the story. But the above link is the first story they put up today. The comments are not favourable towards the ‘religion of peace’.
The G&M is censoring heavily on the few articles that they allow comments.
It is a shame.
The CTV also quotes the disgusting “journalist” Eric Margolis saying that the murdered satirists enjoyed …revelling in being exceptionally provocative and getting people angry at them…They certainly enjoyed kicking hornets’ nests.
http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/charlie-hebdo-french-newspaper-enjoyed-kicking-hornets-nests-1.2176736#ixzz3OCWM30go
The article says nothing about the Muslim jihadists, the “hornets” who murdered them – just the obvious insinuation that they were asking for it. Margolis wrote in 2010 regarding the proposed mosque at ground zero, that Republicans, neocons and assorted racists are having a field day promoting hatred of Islam.
I see from Wikipedia that he is also the owner of vitamin manufacturer Jamieson Laboratories. I wasn’t planning on buying any of their products again because they generally didn’t seem to be very good, but I certainly never will now.
So we learn during a “slut walk,” that any kind of “provocation” is ok, and the victim should never be blamed, unless the “slut” is free speech, then it’s ok, both to attack and blame.
“You’re sure they’re cowards and not simply playing for the other side”… They’re both, cowards and playing for the other side.
The jesters cannot be heroes http://waltherpragerandphilosophy1.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-jesters-cannot-be-heroes.html
Aislin, Terry Mosher (easily, one of the greats) had some commentary on this in today’s Montreal Gazette, he remains unbowed, and certain that freedom will prevail. He reminds us that satire is equal opportunity, that nobody is off limits. Including dead pedophiles.
He was friends with some of the murdered men. His “cartoon” today included the big 3, and Charlie Hebdo.
http://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/montreal-the-moment/when-ink-draws-blood-aislin-on-the-paris-massacre
http://www.aislin.com/wordpress/
Coincidence! A certain religion has a history of its adherents being outraged and murdering non-believers because they feel “provoked.”
These dudes don’t know how to laugh, they have no comedians, no funny muzzies, they have no fun. They are in perpetual ayatollah mode, hell laugh a bit, ill bet your idol even laughed once in a while, this is so sick and twisted what some of your people do, and why.
The usual suspects will blame this on a mentally deranged lone wolfpack. Not on Muslims!
Let’s see if Muslims who are quick to riot when satirical cartoons are published express as much anger at murder in Mohammed’s name.
I think its good that CTV, CBC, NYT are on the wrong side of the public on this. It means more cancelled subscriptions, less website page views, fewer ad clicks and fewer ad buyers.
if they are editing comments anyway there is no use visiting these vulgar sites. Stay away from them so they don’t benefit.
So take solace in the fact that the terrorist apologist/enabling media are going to be gone in 10 years if not sooner.
No such thing as a moderate moose limb. Act accordingly. This is the new wave.
The positives about Bell Media:
1)
EBD: “The idea that immigration from certain Muslim countries should be curbed or severely limited for a few years, or decades, though, is not only reasonable, but advisable.”
That’s an ironic view in the present context, given that the brave people at Charlie Hebdo, while adamantly defending the right to mock Islam (amongst other religions and sacred cows), have never called for a ban (or “curbing”, or “severely limiting”) on Muslim immigration to France, as they knew that to do so would be undermine everything they stood for.
Something to think about, perhaps.
“have never called for a ban (or “curbing”, or “severely limiting”) on Muslim immigration to France,
as they knew yadda yadda yadda…”
Don’t you presume to speak for the people who are now dead.
Both the CTV and the CBC headlines on their Charlie Hebdo stories are plagiarized practically word for word from their much-worshiped thought leader, The New York Times. The NYT launched the ‘blame the victim’ meme first, and it has been taken up by the usual MSM suspects ever since.
“CTV rag has history of provoking outrage”!
As the man said:
“Muslim Groups Fear Backlash From Tomorrows Train Bombing”
Something to think about, perhaps.
Yes, I agree………..
Stop all immigration from Islamic countries now.
There. I thought about it. At length.
“Don’t you presume to speak for the people who are now dead.”
No, just as a longtime reader of Charles Hebdo. The subject of their satire and commentary wasn’t just Islam, or Muslims, or radical terrorism; it was anything dogmatic and presumptuous–including, say, Marine Le Pen, the FN, and their anti-immigrant views.
I entirely concur with your comments.
Kate quipped in jest, “probably mental illness”, yesterday as events were unfolding, and several have mentioned that that narrative would likely be the media’s take.
What surprises me, though, is how brazenly they have changed horses on this one. They obviously and transparently know what’s going on, and that the public knows what’s going on: they realized that they couldn’t peddle the mental illness baloney, because of the size, organization and execution of the attack, and decided instead on an equally transparently ridiculous alternative misrepresentation (“the victims provoked it”).
And they don’t even care about their own reputations! They know they’re lying; we know they’re lying; and they know we know they’re lying. They don’t care! As you correctly imply, this was no time for them to be doubling-down on their drain-circling “business” “strategy”. And they did it anyway!
I used to think they were just lazy, uneducated, clueless, and poseur-leftist. It comes as a bit of a revelation that their self-immolation is deliberate.

One report stated that two of the attackers may have been trained and fought in Syria. When are we going to recognize that, in the latest incarnation, Syrian IS fighters cannot be safely reincorporated into civilized society. What is wrong with a law recognizing that someone leaving Canada to join a terrorist organization, belonging to a terrorist organization or fundraising for or recruiting for a terrorist organization, is recognized as giving up his Canadian citizenship. Now international law states that no one can be left stateless but they have the Caliphate – may they die with it. The message is = pick a side there is no coming back.
Second message: Charlie Hebdo is a “progressive” publication more accustomed to lampooning the right. Re-education has begun.
Allan be praised.
Many lefties are also pushing the meme that gun loving ‘conservatives’ have killed more than the muslims. Straw manning school shootings, Oklahoma etc. Funny thing is, if it was actually possible for actual conservatives to be stirred into a murderous rage by something printed in the NYT, they’d have all been shot long ago.
The best suggestion I heard for the western medias reaction is the “I am Sparticus” play.
If every single media outlet showed images of Allah the *sshole, no single one would be targeted.
Alas, they are mostly cowards. Ezra for PM.
It isn’t hard to understand the media’s insistence on distancing Muslims from Islamic atrocities. They are covering their culpability in pushing the country to embrace allah (may bacon be upon him)
There is a lot of blood on their hands and this is an attempt to wash it off before the majority notice.
“it was anything dogmatic and presumptuous–including, say, Marine Le Pen, the FN, and their anti-immigrant views.”
As if being pro-Muslim immigration and not being an actual Muslim isn’t a dogmatic presumptuous position, eh?
As has been suggested, these Muslims acted out of outrage.
What isn’t said is that to Muslims, simply being an infidel is an outrage to Muslims.
Islam means Submission to Allah. A Muslim is one who submits.
Muslims are taught to believe that all people are Allah’s and that all people are born Muslim.
To refuse to submit is an insult to Allah and his prophet.
Charlie Hebdo thought a locked door would protect them from Muslims.
Someone opened the door and let them in.
IRONICALLY, It’s an analogy about immigration …writ small.
“…sophisticated, military-style strike…”
Which military expert is this coming from? What the video shows is a couple of guys getting out of a little car and running around with rifles. Apparently they didn’t have a plan on how to enter the building and most of the people they shot were unarmed.
Quote: “I’m the one who makes the active decision to become outraged. If it’s any other way, and I can’t control my reaction, then I’m delusional.”
And that’s the crux of the problem. Your response is a reflection of classic, Western morality. In a nutshell, that self-control and analysis are the proper way to respond to external events. This is NOT a Muslim principle; in that culture, failure to respond to an external event is a sign of weakness, not strength and principle.
Read this article for a description of the Muslim world-view that perfectly describes the “lone wolf” violence of Muslims living in the West, and describes why joining fanatical thugs like ISIS is appealing and not revolting.
http://10news.dk/nicolai-sennels-report-from-the-therapy-room-why-are-muslims-more-violent-and-criminal/
This report in no way excuses or condones Muslim behaviour. It does highlight that their mind-set is utterly ALIEN to Western sensibilities. And for blathering politicians in search of “root causes”, it shows that the real clash IS civilizational. By virtue of their beliefs and upbringing, Muslims cannot be at peace with their neighbours or with themselves. Until the very essence of Muslim family life and child-rearing changes, their behaviour won’t change.
And that is perhaps the scariest conclusion of all. Rapprochement is not currently possible.
“Islam has a history of having crazy murderers as followers”. That’s a more accurate headline for CTV.
Progeessivists are all in favor of the UN SMALL ARMS CONTROL TREATY signed by American Traitor John Kerry more reason america needs to dumb this wrectched United Nations and run Obamas entire cabnet of theives out of america
The CBC must be privatized. Buy a bumper sticker, and show your support:

FredR, thank you for the link. The article is outstanding and should be read by anyone touting the notion of “moderate Muslims”
CBC Newsworld has just interviewed one of their flaks, head of journalistic standards, on his decision not to show the cartoons which caused all the violence. Reference is made to the islamist murderers as “gunmen” That euphemism seems to be in vogue today in most media coverage and may be seen as an advancement over “youths”, “lone wolves” “mentally impaired” and so on. CBC, upholding the principles of tolerance and fairness.
Kind of like what many of our liberal news magazines have done like TIME and its using the Iwo Jima events to push enviroemntalism and the now defunked NEWWEEK pushing its liberal views both of them are leftists rags but one of these leftists rags in now defunked
At least the National Post has some cajones.

“Europe is no longer Europe, it is Eurabia, a colony of Islam, where the Islamic invasion does not proceed only in a physical sense, but also in a mental and cultural sense.”
Oriana Fallaci
Canarabia?
“Muslims are taught to believe that all people are Allah’s and that all people are born Muslim.”
At a recent “Open House” for the opening of the shiny new mosque in central Halifax, the long-time imam in the area, Saint Mary’s University professor Jamal Badawi made this very statement in response to a question by one of the guests.
They seemed to be doing a crisp business selling, for $5 apiece, a charming little book by an apostate Catholic, entitled, “My Great Love of Jesus Led Me to Islam”.
*zing!*
