Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“If you are angered about perceived injustice by police against minorities, what could that possibly have to do with Mr. Raschio? This theme is repeated in the so called Black Brunch protests in Oakland and New York City this weekend. Protesters invaded various businesses to disrupt service and dining in what they referred to as “white spaces.” ”
Cause whitie doesn’t deserve justice cause he’s racist – oh, and we want his stuff.
Maybe the “peaceful protesters” could imagine themselves in the Pacific, having been captured by the Japanese. Then saying “don’t shoot – hands up” would actually have the slightest connection to their supposed “protest.”
Too bad such a juxtaposition couldn’t occur; it would be richly ironic; though messy.
The protesters can check themselves into the film “Unbroken” and then they can have a fuller appreciation of a Japanese POW camp. Unfortunately, they are clueless…
I’m sure the ‘don’t shoot – hands up’ would take on more meaning than a slogan.
Alternatively, they can learn how to speak german…for a little police state action:
“Haende hoch! Deine Papiere bitte?”
Merry Christmas!

If it were not for vets like him these young black thugs wouldnt by alive today or they would end up in chains at some work camp constucting facility to produce the superior arian man
The problem is that crazy people often take over a just cause, but because they have a total lack of self awareness or even the ability to discern context, they completely undermine their own cause.
It’s beyond the thinking capacity of such “protesters” to realize if it were not for men like this 100 year old veteran they would not be free to protest.
This is of course despicable behavior in this one instance, but I do enjoy the fact that the majority of these protests occur in largely Democrat cities who voted for the racial arsonist in chief and his BFF Al Sharpton and so liberals are the ones inconvenienced by these cretins. Own it libz, progz, hipsters. You voted for it after all. Hope. Change.
These brutes have no sense of decency – except to themselves. The only proper response is for peace officers to make arrests for disturbing the peace. And if they don’t, the citizens should act.
It wasn’t an uncivil disruption or a callous display of disrespect – it was kulcher warriors seeking “social justice” doncha know – because their little political hobby horses and selfie-think is so much more important than the rest of us. It transcends civility kaws it’s just soooooooooo correct it needs to be forced down our throats.
As I say left wing politics attract all the wrong type of people -here’s a good example – yes, there is a trend in abusive martial policing that needs to be addressed – but for the left this just represents a justification for incivility.
Dario Raschio has seen fanatics before. It is his triumph that these turds feel so free from retaliation/accountability that they can do something like this.
Arguably, it’s his generation’s shame that they did such a poor job of raising their kids that we’re at this state after two to three generations. The question is how long it will take before the parasites outnumber the producers.
Sorry to disagree, but the fault lies on the rebellious, not the parent who was rebelled against.
The low and dishonest youth of the sixties found a cowardly refuge in a like-minded herd, who quickly learned that those in positions of authority, whether politicians, purveyors of pop culture, or university administrators, would let them get away with, or encouraged their rebellion because it was either easier for them ( univ administrators ), or personally profitable to them ( politicians, magazine editors, entertainers, musicians).
The number of parents who actively encouraged or acquiesced to their children’s rebellion were comparatively few. For most, it was a painful and tragic experience.
If this is the way these miserble pigs can show their graditude then they can just pack their bags and leave and never ever return
your “Haende hoch! Deine Papiere bitte?” is not quite how it worked for me.
It was point the machine pistol at my hear, extend their hand and say “PAPIER!”
I should proof read what I write!
It was point the machine pistol at my head!
Has anyone else noticed that this sort of “peaceful disruption” is becoming much more prevalent in the US and in Canada. There are numerous examples of similarly styled disruptions in Canada such as the various resource development disruptions, the lefty veterans going after Fontano, lefty “university students” shutting down right of center speakers on campuses. No doubt you can think of many I have missed.
The left has become more radical and feels it has become strong enough to practice these tactics. Added to this is that much of the so-called right has wimped out just to get along.

unbroken . don’t you know it was politically incorrect to show the Japanese as callous brutes.
Double post? Hmmm? The first submit button hit got “Page not found”.
Ponder this.
From examination of the grand jury, there was never “hands up, don’t shoot”.
Did not happen.
In fact the myth created by lies of the immediate locals and spread by the mass media is what “happened”.
It is firmly in the LIV minds that this is exactly what transpired.
The mass media created a narrative and it has become the “truth”
The lie is firmly in place and will not be eliminated. Ever.
If you want to talk truth, you are evidently a racist.
Perhaps it is now time to push back VERY hard against the “protesters”. Meaning if they get in your way or disrupt your lawful activities that they pay the price.
Ken, the rise of the middle class has gotten to a point were too many ppl can live off the labour of others. If these fools were walking behind a single furrow plow drawn by oxen for 12 hours a day just to put bread on the table……
as Kate says, time for a famine….
small C I agree with your general point, but there’s nothing new under the sun. Socrates talked about how rebellious the up-and-coming generation was. All generations rebel against their predecessors to some extent. Most don’t succeed in the way that this generation did. We’re now three generations into the change. My main point is that, if all generations have tried to overthrow their parents and enough in that generation succeeded in doing so for the first time in history, then that’s a failure on the parents IMHO.
You’re right, most of the 60’s generation are good folks who worked hard and raised their kids right. Enough weren’t that they were able to turn their society from the most productive one in history into the the self-entitled culture of dependents we see now (once again, many in society are good folks who do their jobs within the culture properly – they are the ones that were shouted down by the drones at the meeting).
