  1. I loved the Kings College Cambridge choir singing Once in Royal David’s City……… and tonight’s choice is……. well, choice.
But try Kallinikov’s 1st symphony, 2nd movement for some occasion deserving pathos. A composer who died far too young, of TB no less, but who showed so much promise in the dying days of Tsarist Russia. Makes one wistful……….. not a bad sentiment for New Year’s Eve. And then the singing of Auld Lang Syne begins again……..
Thanks for all you have done this year and years past, and many more to come!

  2. New Years Eve dancing and celebrations are slowly disappearing in lieu of vegetating in front of a screen. (Please don’t remind me!)
Try to imagine having lived in an era where you could go out on the town and listen to Glenn Miller and his orchestra live on stage!!

  3. Just a tip……the next time you come upon a cop blockade of a street, avenue, whatever…..when they stop you and you ask them what’s going on, and they say “police matter”, look s/he straight in the face and tell them…NO FU#KWAD…I pay your wages…..it is MY matter. The response is funny….as in…DUUUUUUHHHH. Just did it 20 mins ago. More bananas for them.

  4. Thanks Oz for that link.
I will stand against mandatory flu vaccine for Health Care Workers as long as I can, for many reasons…one being the ‘line up and let the guvamint take care of you’ mentality.

  7. It’s not a “scandal” until they find out that no Democrat has recently addressed a loony-left group. I’ll bet a couple have.
Scalise said that he “he ‘went and spoke to any group that called’ in 2002 when he was trying to drum up support in opposing a state tax plan”. Which pols sometimes do. It wasn’t the smartest choice in this case obviously, but exactly how much worse is it than, say, Obama appointing Van Jones to a cabinet position?
