Y2Kyoto: State Of Anorexia Envirosa

Heartland;

These stories reveal the snow job that has been perpetuated on the general public regarding renewable energy. They don’t understand the need for power or how it works. They seem to believe that when a rule passes a magic wand waves replacing older, but still fully functional, power plants with wind or solar–that doesn’t produce electricity 24/7/365 as do the decommissioned coal or nuclear plants and which requires far more land to produce the same amount of, albeit intermittent, electricity.
An iced up wind turbine or a solar panel covered in seven feet of snow–even if some of it slides off–doesn’t generate electricity. And the cold days of a Northeast winter create one of the times when energy demand peaks.

  1. This paints a terrifying picture not only for the US northest but most of North America that must live with winter and as the greenies get more of their way life will just get more difficult and expensive. All of these A****hole greenies should be made to spend a typical winter in a northern rural climate and face winter in its full fury. I suspect that their wacked out ideas might begin to change quickly.

  2. Watermelons feel quite free and virtuous to dictate what kind of power source the rest of us must use, the little known reason for this hubris is the secret thrill they get from knowing they, and they alone, have unlimited power from these little square receptacles just above the base board, its incredible man just plug anything in and away it goes.

  3. One would think that if X project didn’t work, it would be back to the drawing board. The fact that one adheres to a failed technology or ideology proves how cultish these “green” ideas are.

  4. Best thing for them really. When people have had enough, perhaps we will see a return of tar, feathers, and good old hemp rope!

  5. The green theocracy rules (federally and indirectly through its ownership of the greater culture) in the US and increasingly here as well. Killing off citizenry in the name of renewable energy conversion (and beyond) is an acceptable cost to the theocracy. They can blame “deniers” for slowing the “conversion” and thanks to a compliant media, most will buy it. Their world view is that the “enlightened” Europeans and the UK are doing it so it must be good. Besides, it’s all for the “greater good”.
    Perhaps if the imminent human culling is significant enough to awaken a nation sleepwalking into the slavery of dsytopian green hell, a backlash might arise.

  6. Good!
    This prospect of the US North East, blue states, freezing in the dark this winter is timely….
    The “won”, TOTUS and Jarrett will have to flee to self imposed exile in Hawaii. News that the WH thermostats are set at 80F will inspire the secret service to withdraw to Mount Weather.

  7. Judging by last winter in Nfld., the greens don’t change their ideas but they become rather quiet about them. Which is a mercy.

  8. The enthusiasm for “renewable energy” is more faith based than science based and is thus much harder to argue against. Take the Ont example; the province easily generates 3/4 of its electricity from clean, green sources, hydro and nuclear. This hour that share is 86%. Rather than accentuate that reality, the Liberal government has invested billions in wind plants; the 1500 or so wind turbines struggle to produce 3% of supply, and much of that is unneeded at the time and is exported at a loss.
    Were the Liberals to invest in cleaner gas fired technology the province could continue to enjoy a comparative advantage in energy rates and attract business and jobs. But that is not the Liberal way, better to destroy acres of cropland and fracture communities to promote the religion of renewable energy.
