The only problem with this type of government is the interpretation of what constitutes the “greater good”. How can a government continue to function for the benefit of the people if it ignores the people.

It is a partisan cult of amorality which places winning above ethics/morals/law and places agenda above democratic/constitutional constraint. – In short, these are sociopathic parasites who lie, cheat and steal as easily as drawing breath, for end results which usually ar a monumental failure – and if you invest any democratic currency in them hoping for a better nation, you will soon realize (if you have a pulse and any alpha wave activity) that their politics and ideologies offer no solution – because corruption and lawlessness will always decay a failing state.

  10. Here in Vermont, the chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee. The very driver behind the push for single payer in this state, and and eight term incumbent, was defeated for re-election.
    The Governor, the other principal proponent of single-payer, drew less votes than the Republican and Libertarians, but did manage a plurality by 2,000 votes.

  11. Lets not forget, that in “getting it to pass” he is speaking more of congress and the senate. They are the ones that passed this law. They may have had more complaints from the public, had the public known the truth. How many of the people that passed the law actually even read it?

    He gives himself the authority to do that. No-one gave him that authority. He was not elected. There is no part of the Constitution that allows an appointee to lie to get his personal will made into law.
    Disgusting.
    * He is talking about lying about the effects of the Act when he says the weasel words “lack of transparency”, and not using the words “lying” is simply lack of transparency towards the audience for the speech – yes, lying to them too, the people he expected to agree with him.

    The respect for the intelligence of the voter is duly noted. Mr. Gruber is of the opinion that the voter is not intelligent enough to vote for the ‘politically correct’ outcome; and thus needs to be duped.
    In short, my philosophy is correct; but you can’t trust the ‘rubes’ so just lie to them, because cat herding is too difficult.

The taqiyya being employed is applied in various degrees by both “wings” of the so-called political spectrum.   26. The “people” didn’t pass this law, maybe indirectly by voting for their elected members, but their elected members did. Then, when challenged, their unelected appointed black robed supremes, namely one deciding judge, reworked the the law to suit the progressive need. Presto. Anyone who followed this saga should not be surprised by how is was going to go down or by this video insight.
