The CBC should be treating Ghomeshi the same way the CBC and other media treated Ray Rice. Before the elevator video came out, the woman’s word was all that was needed to get him off the Baltimore Ravens. When the video came out, the media wanted to go up the ladder, to “who saw the video and when”. They went hard after commissioner Goodell, and wanted him fired and anyone else that may have seen the video of Rice hitting his wife in the elevator.

Actually, his pre-emptive strike was really more of a suicide bombing. I don’t care how “progressive”, “modern” or “liberated” people might claim to be, there’s simply no way to make “rough sex” presentable to the public at large.

It appears the cbc has known of Ghomeshi’s behaviour for years. It’s hard to imagine that news of this outrage wouldn’t have reached the upstairs corner office.
