  1. If only there was a groper registry…
Ghomeshi is an unctuous slimeball whether he gropes or not, but he isn’t getting a shitload of due process in all of this.

  2. I think we should all give Ghomeshi a vote of thanks for exposing the CBC’s rape culture.
He may have done a huge favor to all taxpayers by getting caught.

  3. A Royal Commission is the ROYAL white washing of the Crown, not necessary in todays legal proceedings.
The civil lawsuits should not be paid by taxpayers. The CBC executive branch have a personal financial responsibility.

  4. How the scumbag got away with this abuse of women for so long is the real puzzler. It’s hardly an innocent don’t kiss and tell thing, this guy was allegedly causing harm, showing no respect for women and having the gall to proclaim it was consensual. Perhaps it was consensual to go on a “date” with him but admitting to “rough sex”, choking and hitting as consensual is assault.
Hopefully enough women come forward and provide sufficient proof to prevent this creep from suing the CBC, that’s us, Canadian taxpayers.
Too bad there’s no such thing as shame in our society today.

  5. Rumours about the CBC being a place dominatrd by sexually ill people is well known. It is good that evidence is pouring out now. End the CBC now!

  6. As I mentioned yesterday this will lead to the “Death by a thousand cuts” at the CBC. Ghomeshi evidently was protected by upper management as was Savile at the BBC. There seems to be an acceptance of proclivity within national broadcasters. I seem to remember it being reported that the CBC’s David Suzuki requesting young attractive women as escorts when he appeared at speaking engagements. Ghomeshi may be only a single case but then again he may be the tip of the iceberg, time will tell.

  7. If it is true that CBC knew of this for 12 years, then Gomeshi and every person above him in the chain of command should be held criminally responsible. Aint gonna happen, I know left wing sleazeballs almost never face justice, but it should.

  8. It seems pretty clear that Ghomeshi confined his predations to “progressive” wymyn (irony alert). Meaning women who were so in awe of CBC, and Ghomeshi himself, and his “progressive” values, that they figured that they had to “take one for the team” when he assaulted them.
Because if he had assaulted conservative-leaning women, sooner or later he would have sustained a beating at the hands of some friends or relations of a victim.

  9. Give the CBC a break, it’s not about the “rape culture”, it’s about the “white guilt culture” that will allow rapes providing that they are done by a visible minority. Especially black or brown skinned, with bonus points going towards Muslim.
I believe the CBC would have come forward immediately if this was a conservative white male in their midst.

  10. Well, CBC has been “raping” the taxpayer and the intellect of their audience for so long, protecting another predator would just be reflex.

  11. Maybe Trailer Park Lucy didn’t speak out for fear of her lucrative CBC opportunities……or the insinuation of it, from the Ceeb hierarchy.
    Who really knows?
We really won’t, only the juiciest details are out. Was it only one tryst with TPLucy?
At any rate, one hypocritical Ceeb “celebrity” down, a few more to go.

  12. Anyone remember who said: “It’s typical of the left to make a convicted rapist a hero.”?
The answer needs to be recalled.

  13. What the Ghomeshi story proves is the truth of the Biblical story of the immaculate conception. None of the accusers appear to have fathers. Or big brothers. Which is probably a good thing for Jian.

  14. Even Justin Bieber has decided to get a real hair cut since he stopped being a boy and decided to look like a man.
Never trust a man with a Justin Bieber boy-do.

  15. I know PM Harper had no specific idea this was happening at the CBC, and he really should have bit the bullet and de-funded this monstrosity the very first day of his majority. But we all know the the “collective” outrage and subsequent coast-to-coast distracting campaign (pun intended) this would have engendered amongst the leftards. Now that they are even eating themselves, perhaps letting death by a thousand cuts take it’s course was the smart play afterall. 😀

  16. Table of equivalent monetary values for progressives:
    $ 1 Billion/yr x 12 yrs of taxpayer money to fund a “Groping playground” = “Public Good”
$12 Billion over 2 yrs of private money to fund the building of a X-country pipeline = “Out of Control Corporate greed that will create an environmental disaster and will bring shame and scorn by the world progressive elites to all Canadians”
Fortunately we have the CBC to let us know what our values should be to move forward!

  17. Maybe the CBC executive might escape criminal sanction, but I am sure I speak for most here, that if some CBC squib tried that crap on with my daughter, the criminal justice system ain’t gonna save the bastard once I get hold of him…
And he’ll need extensive facial reconstruction afterwards…

  18. One thing for sure, Suzuki wouldn’t attract any “attractive young women”. Maybe he wanted to get some extra contacts for his fellow CBC employee Ghomeshi. Who knows what’s really going on with CBC, Hubie Lacroix can act like everything is personal and it’s none of our business so any report will have lots of black outs.

  19. “It seems pretty clear that Ghomeshi confined his predations to “progressive” wymyn (irony alert). Meaning women who were so in awe of CBC, and Ghomeshi himself, and his “progressive” values, that they figured that they had to “take one for the team” when he assaulted them.” … good point. Ann Coulter liked to quote Phyllis Schlafly, who said something to the effect that no wonder liberal women think all men are pigs … because all their liberal men ARE pigs.

  20. “How the scumbag got away with this abuse of women…”
The same way Clinton got away with it. He was on the correct side politically and a star performer, so they covered for him.
Now, I wonder if a certain lobby group are going to change their name to Unfriends of the CBC?

  21. I suspect CBC may go on a minority hiring binge just to show they don’t mean anything racist by all this, or to make up for some imagined PC sin. And how will the left try to turn this twisted hobbit into a victim?
My sympathies are extended to all victims, but, as a TP fan, I have to admit I’m particularly pissed about Lucy.

  22. In a theoretical world someone should grab Gomeshi by the hair and yank his head back, choke him for awhile and then bash him in the head a few times to see if he gets an erection. In a theoretical world…

  23. If Ghomeshi did as alleged, then he seems to have done these things to women he thought would let him get away with it, i.e., women who would put up with it if they thought he could advance their careers (exhibit A being the Trailer Park girl). These women weigh calling 911 against what might prove best for their careers. If they think keeping quiet will result in a better chance of career advancement, then they don’t call 911, and to hell with the next chick who might be exposed to the masher. That cost-benefit analyzing type career-girl thing seems to be the hallmark of women in the media/arts. It was/is thus a target-rich environment for Gee-yawn, or anyone like him.

  24. Sort of gives a different view of Dr Fruit Fly and his request for female student bodyguards in his appearance riders ?

  25. Ghomeshi was born in England, in the suburbs near Heathrow Airport, to Iranian expatriates. As a child, his schoolmates would tease him and call him “Blackie,”…
“He’s such a magnetic character, even as a guy, there’s just an instant intimacy when you’re talking with him. And that was really amped up with women,” said another one of his former producers… in the madcap world of big league radio “with a madman at the centre of it,” who would indulge in petty vendettas and book guests solely for the purpose of pursuing s e x….“Very few young single women lasted on the show,” he said, and many were brought to tears by Mr. Ghomeshi’s behaviour, “and not because he was being violent or overtly harsh with her, just subtly denigrated, overly critical. “He’s always, like, drenched in cologne and breathing on you and hands on,” he said. “He also sweat a lot, and by the end of the day, out of his office would come an almost visible wave of perspiration and cologne. You could literally, in the building, step into an empty elevator and be like, ‘Oh, Jian has been here in the last half an hour.’”

    http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/10/31/jian-ghomeshis-journey-from-immigrants-son-to-cultural-icon-to-pariah/
This Iranian-Brit creep got away with being a disgusting perv because he was the CBC’s multicultural poster-boy. He comes from a culture that denigrates and disrespects women, none of this is a surprise to anyone not wearing Lieberal Blinders. Abusing women is a learned behavior, considered ‘normal’ in some backwards cultures. You can take the kid out of the culture, but you can’t take the culture out of the kid.

  26. CBC is notable for not calling those who commit terrorism as terrorists.
Does CBC investigate mosques looking for Sharia Law being taught and applied to women?
And then call for any Islamic schools teaching that to be shut down?
Does the CBC object to women forced to wear the hijab, abaya, chadour, burka because not to would be a cause or justification for being attacked?
Does the CBC cover the story in Europe of women having to carry scarves and to cover their head with them to avoid being harassed or having stones thrown at them by Muslim men?
Does the CBC denounce mosques and imams and Muslims who adhere to Chapter 4, verse 34 of the Koran which prescribes beating unruly wives into submission?
Does the CBC condemn Chapter 4, verse 34 of the Koran as hate literature?
Does the CBC have an annual day to commemorate Muslim victims of “Honour Killings” in Canada?
    50 Shades of Q?
    It isn’t a police investigation that is needed, it’s a C.S.I.S. one.
CBC treats the public like Jian does his big, eared teddy bear.

  27. Ghomeshi reminds me of Alex DeLarge, the lead character in A Clockwork Orange, someone who likes the combination of sex and violence. It wouldn’t surprise me of that film is one if his faves… for all the wrong reasons, of course.

  28. It’s the only way to get to the bottom of the institutional rape culture of the CBC
I prefer the word “systemic”. It is the word the CBC used again and again when they went after the Airborne Regiment during the Somalia incident.

  29. Got to love the progressive celebrity culture, always celebrating themselves.
As liberalism is a progressive disease, there is no way these career gals would report this sleazoid. Until it became a collective act to do so.
It amuses me how gullible “independent” women are.
This creature talks the talk.. but acts out his true nature.
Quite pathetic to have all canadians know that you can only get it up by hurting submissive women.
Also stunning how many women will take all kinds of abuse, to further their career. What have we created?
This is the independent educated people our universities produce?
So berit of self, that they will willingly be pimped out by CBC?

  30. Now that some good people have received respect for having the cojones to tackle a CBC icon, it’s likely that other stories will follow.
Suzuki is a likely candidate. Who knows whether he has a kinky side but the man is demonstrably a fraud and a charlatan who has gotten filthy rich at the taxpayers’ expense.

  31. There is a movement afoot on twitter to have Norm MacDonald take over hosting duties in Q…how Canadian is that..?..

  32. It was Ezra Levant at his best today on the subject. He reviewed the statements of the estimable women whom we all know of. They are:

Judy Rebick and Margaret Atwood. Both had made statements appearing to trivialise the experiences of the women involved. Not only that, but they seemed to be slightly enamoured of the man.

Given their reputation and often fiery defence of women, one is inclined to wonder…..

  33. With Atwood and Rebick, that’s exactly the same thing happened in the Clinton-Lewinsky affair. Lots of left-wing feministas covering up for the perp because of his perceived leftist credentials.

  34. IF the allegations of a cover-up turns out to be true….
    Canadian Broad-choking Commendations
    Canadian Bitch-slapping Consultation
    Canadian Bully-cover Conservation
    Canadian…….

  35. My question would be how you could possibly stain an already well known blotter of all things good.
They suck up evil like drunks on a night out

  36. About 45 years ago I was a graduate student in Toronto, and lived at Gloucester and Jarvis (approx.). One of the major old CBC studios was about half a mile south. Several times I saw a middle-aged man in a CBC van, always accompanied by about 5 boys ranging in age from about 9 to about 15.
Somehow I didn’t think that they were related …

  37. If Ghomeshi had been gay, and had made a practice of assaulting young male lovers, we would never have heard of it.

  38. I’m guessing that Ghomeshi is wishing he had gone away quietly. The attitude and arrogance that fuels that type of behaviour towards women also prevents said perpetrator from walking away.

  39. Rogue – you forget that Jian started all this by his preemptive strike Facebook posting where he said 1) he was into edgy sex, but 2) everything was consensual, and 3) the only issue was a vindictive ex who was telling lies. Even back of beyond, where I reside, it didn’t take much shaking of the bushes to get stories about the man.
