Ghomeshi was offered a chance to walk away, go across the street, and find a comfortable cage in a drive-time Morning Zoo. Some people were initially impressed that he refused to do this and went on Facebook to burn the world’s entire supply of bridges instead. It sort of looked like integrity, if you squinted.
And now there’s a name.
I know the axis isn't set to 0, but I'm enjoying watching the number of likes on Ghomeshi's Facebook post decline. pic.twitter.com/o9R7u4iPGP

That is butt covering. They are claiming they were lied to. I mean wait until the truth comes out about how they were complicit in covering it up until they had no choice but to act because it was all going to come out.
This, as you and a couple of others have pointed out, is the real issue. In any large organization you can probably find at least one creep like Ghomeshi. The real issue is that complaints were made about him for months prior, and it appears to have all been quietly buried and hushed up by middle management (at least that’s the story coming out of the CBC right now). The real issue then is the complete failure of CBC management to deal with a pattern of claimed abuse that goes back not months but years.
92432 now. His approval rating is racing Obama’s to the bottom.
